and one of my very favourite tunes is "Squib Cakes" which Chester Thompson wrote and performed with Tower of Power; amazing stuff!

What a great musician! He rolled out the carpet for Carlos` solos...such an emotional harmony between the two of them. Thanks for moments like these!

CT is my very favorite musician in the entire world, from his solo days (Powerhouse) to Tower of Power, to Santana to Mixology, he's just so very soulful, jazzy, gospelly and a huge RB player with every song he touches. There is no one like him in the entire world, the man has made the hammond B3 his own and I'd give anything to just have 1/10 of 1% of what he brings musically!!! I was lucky enough to meet him a couple of times just by accident and I totally freaked him out by my adoration and knowledge of him, (apologies CT) but it was like meeting your idol after a lifetime of listening to him while pretending I was him and I was playing those awesome solo's (Squibcakes and oh so many more).. Truth be told the only thing I'm good at is biting my nails LOL.. (it's true LOL) God has touched CT with some serious talent and I'm just so happy to have been around to see and listen to him play. Thank you GOD and CT... Your solo's and talent and songs have brought me out of my funk and forget about my problems and always brought me to a better place. I look forward to any new creations you got and if not then I will still enjoy your catalog of the best music I've ever heard. Peace and gratitude, Nitram

Thank you for this tribute video...I've loved all the keyboardists with Santana, but I think CT was the most versatile of them all...from the B3 to the piano to the synths. Such emotion in his playing. The best! And, watch how the always unselfish Carlos lays back and lets CT play his solos, always backing him with spot on guitar rhythms, and allowing him to take the spotlight. What an exceptional player and gentleman.

Turns out he was a veteran of FRANK ZAPPA AND THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Phil Collins and genesis weather report and Jaco pastorius as the drummer before putting in time. With cousin Carlos Santana as keyboard player

I beg to differ Cousin Carlos Santana. Always features everyone in the band. Multiple times in a given performance When I had the privelege to see Santana in Atlanta GA in1997 it was fucking outstanding how many sudden fast breaks and the rest of the entire festival. Closed down all the 2ndary stages and Santana essentially was the final act but was like the headliner and if he wasn't meant to be the headliner he God damn sure made it that way because it was non-stop dynamic explosive stops and changes and punches the one everybody drain that all the other stages it was like a massive herd of bison man it was up near 100,000 people anyways the festival had really good stage and lighting but Santana most notably had about 100 ft tall Hui Cho are peyote art backdrop with rainbow colored serpents and peyote buttons and very colorful and bright purples and reds and blues and incredibly amazing showing CT took a few. Solos that. Time he wasn't being just supportive he was most certainly featured If you want to hear a kickass Hammond b3 organ solo on a Santana album's track you need to look up "savor l' toussaint " monstrous solo.
