***** No Prob! I like to hear new things too, which is why I get so frustrated when Spanish interviews are not translated. But I think he said they ran back to the bus once it happened and her father went out to try to get them to calm down. Selena coached herself on the bus and went back out there bravely. Honestly, I think the book was WAY better than the movie, becuase you see a side of her that's WAY more human.

it did.. but in actual real life in mexico .. they threw beer bottles and stuff like that at the stage because they were playing Tejano music.. and people down there.. at the time.. didn't know/like that style of music... and the whole "stage collapsing" did happen .. later on in her career.. but.. not on her first appearance in mexico.. as the movie portrays..

EDDIE O. That doesnt make sense. Why would they go do a concert at a place where people don’t like the music? From this scene, it looks like the stage is collapsing because the audience is pushing eachother closer to the stage because maybe they all wanted her to touch/grab their hand while she sang. I could be wrong though.
