That is the most amazing tribute to one of my favorite guitarists/musicians from my second favorite band, Toto. You were able to capture so much of Steve Lukather's techniques, tone, playing ability, dynamics, and phrasing. As a guitarist, I have been trying to learn many of his guitar solos. Which has proven to be very difficult. Thank you for sharing. Just wow!

He says he’d improvise his solos, what a beast he is. Nary a flubbed note. Hell, this guy doesn’t flub one either! I love the story Luke tells about Lee Ritenour saving his ass in a session when Luke’s part was a reading part and Rit’s part was a chord chart and easy. Rit saw the shock on Luke’s face and quickly swapped the sheet music with him, then the band started and nobody knew the difference.

Amazing! I got to see Luke in 1983 with ToTo and it was one of the most memorable concerts I’ve ever seen. Luke was on fire running all over the stage like a madman jumping up on Paich’s piano, getting up on the FOH speakers……..he was just doing his best Ted Nugent routine while playing intricate ToTo solos. It stands out in my mind 40 years later as if it were yesterday.

I have followed Steve Lukather since high school, his guitar playing was the first thing that caught my ear, and this guy is absolutely fantastic player, and plays all of Lukathers guitar licks. Wow!! It's amazing to watch you play Lukather's work. I was fortunate enough to see Toto in 1986 on the "Fahrenheit" tour when Jeff Porcaro was still playing. Solos And sounds are spot on, solid and massive! You can tell there’s even more fierce if needed, but you’re holding back to not overwhelm the original feeling, and that comes across as great control and sky-rocket drive and pocket. IMHO best Luke take on internet. Chapeau 🤟
