When that goal post came down I was close to the stadium to pick my husband and his friend up. I looked up to see what looked at the time like thousands of students carrying that goal post down University Avenue and directly over the top of my SUV !!! I thought I was going to have a heart attack!! Now I look back at it as a fond memory of the excitement Coach Leach brought to Texas Tech!! RIP Pirate! 💔

The irony here - when I first saw Coach Leach on the sidelines years ago, I thought he looked like Vince Gill. And that song in your tribute is, of course, Vince Gill. I have been a huge fan of Leach and have pretty much adopted his teams as my 2nd favorite wherever he has coached. And I'll never forget that Texas Tech game at 2:25 when they beat Texas on that throw. Go Dolphins, BTW!
