As an American, we still play those pipes for our fallen brethren. A hauntingly beautiful sound.

Great for forgotten heroes to be honoured in this way! We never know what you will come up with next! Love the comments it provoked also and of course the great tunes!

My 3 X gr grandfather, George Wallace was in the 92nd Gordon Highlanders in the early period of peninsular war, led by Sir John Moore. He was Battalion Quartermaster. He returned to Scotland and was promoted to Lieutenant and did not serve again overseas, so he missed Waterloo. I enjoyed this video and the music. Just came across it looking for some of your piping lessons. Thank you.

Thanks very much as always Neil. Two wonderful tunes not heard much these days. It would be good if a local ex-service organisation would care for Augustus' grave site. Perhaps your video will inspire some action

Thankyou Neil. For some reason the story of these men, long forgotten by Britain, brought a lump to my throat. Maybe it was the poignancy of the tunes and your beautiful playing.

Sorry, I don't know... from the basic knowledge I have of the numbering system it may have been unlikely to have 2 "95ths"...soo..... probably?
