when you watch a parent in their last days, it doesn't matter what happened in the past, that is the most heartfelt pain, knowing you have to say your last goodbye and hearing their voice, Rest In paradise, Papa Joe.( Don't Cry For Me) would be the perfect song for joe homecoming, Don't cry for me, Don't shed a tear, The time I shared with you will always be, And when I am gone please carry on .

Plus I think it's not completely fair to judge how the man raised his kids for 1 because none of us were there in that house at those rehearsals and behind the scenes at those live shows so we really don't know the whole story I mean we can speculate amongest ourselves pasted off of what the brothers have said but once again none of us were there and also Idk about you but I don't have any children let alone 9 children so I can't imagine both the financial and physical stress that raising 9 kids creates so I have no right to judge and nither does anyone else unless you were there throughout there childhood which is very unlikely considering how tightly woven there family was back in the day.

@@AngelicZelda444 hes right, literally every black family in the sixties spanked their children, why would Joe b an exception? im sure oprahs own father spanked the sht out of her.. a father should always have a sort of authority and be strict if not then he'll lose control..mj couldve easily turned to gangs and drugs back then but his father wanted the best for his children, beside music his children had great education, joe made sure they never skipped a class or a homework he was dedicated to his family in a time where a lot of black dads didnt stay with their children n left them on their own with their moms...i know it looks so strange to ppl in 2020 where mothers have 5 kids from 5 babydaddies but theres like 50 yrs of difference n times werent the same...right now its ok to beat up ur own mother or tell her "cash me ousside" n kids r allowed to many things their parents didnt have access to in their age.. Joe spanked his children yes, the media twisted what mj said in their own way n since fans love mj blindly they felt bad about their idol..

An Awesome {albeit somewhat controversial...parenting-skills} great musical-pioneering Father of the Jackson-5 and Patriarch of the Jackson Family. At-heart, no matter the strict-disciplinarian he was...he loved and cared deeply for his children. Likewise, in retrospect of the Greatness and all the Successes of raising his children...to become Mega-Superstars in the Music-World/Industry...they all love and respect and appreciate their Father Joe Jackson for doing his best...to instill the same in them...to be and do their Best. Much Prayers and Condolences to all the Jackson family. Rest in Heavenly Peace Mr. Joseph Jackson. ~ Blackbutterfly Expressions

Michael said he got sick when he was in his presence. He said he forgave him bc what else can u do but that doesn’t mean the traumas goes away. Mike said that when they were little he would make them strip like naked and then beat them with a belt or wtv was around. So not it’s not just black parenting. Mike said he would NEVER hit his children bc of what his dad did to him

Shows you how sick the world still is. A man who beat and sexually abused his wife, sons and daughters gets a tribute. All his kids are psychologically messed up, especially the ones he could make the most money from. Michael lived like an eight-year-old boy trying to look like a white woman, eventually dying ten years before and forty years younger than his father. All these celebrities who die young are haunted by their childhoods until they can run no more. May Joe Jackson take his proper place in Hell and burn for all eternity.

You're assuming they aren't and "aggressive discipline" is what leads many kids go into an early grave. Just this week a 10 year old boy was beaten to death by his step-dad who probably thought he was "disciplining" him.

Michael was my icon growing up. But the things that many sources, even him, claimed sounded a lot more extreme like when the stuff came up about his father beating the kids with sticks, or when even worse if one key was out of tune, he would punish them, harshly! That sent chills. Albeit, it was a way to make sure they were disciplined off the streets because some of us today don't know what it's like living in dangerous areas. I listened to Michael's music when I was young and still enjoy it to this day. My heart goes out to him. I just focus on Michael solely because he is an icon and that's it. RIP

R.I.P JOE JACKSON🙏🙏..This is one father that will be remembered for many things, more importantly he was a black father who didn't allow his sons to go astray and become delinquents or another statistic of what America likes to see black men as...for that I applaud you💯 JOE...the tough hand and abuse he gave them I won't condemn neither cause they were his sons and they needed love but at the time, their success and everything that came with it was something he and them can only dream about and he wasn't letting nothing spoil that so he had to be stern and make sure things were in order...I myself was upset on how he went about things especially with MICHAEL, it affected him greatly, but joe was raised a certain way and he must passed it down to his kids so again I can't knock him, if there were more JOE JACKSON'S in the world a huge portion of youth nowadays will have respect for authority, have their pants up, and won't get caught up with the traps laye d out for us......THANK YOU JOE for giving us the FIRST FAMILY OF MUSIC, SOUND OF YOUNG AMERICA, MICHAEL, JANET& THE CLAN🙏🙏👏👏👏

He definitely deserves more credit given and the man did what he had to do. Joe apparently did something right because he raised the top musical fan of all time. I just never believed the abuse claims by the children. Sorry Oprah not buying it.

~ ~ --0--0 when growing up as a kid in the 70s and 80s in Nigeria...in the estate were i lived..a man lost 3 sons at J different occasions by police bullets..due to arm robbery...he lost one daughter as a car ran over her..... / he lost another daughter into prostitution...one of the sons became mad and ran away from home....and the only son he had left became the fathers gold... i remember in the 1980s when my father took me to a petrolium school to help me seek admission...i also saw this man and his only son...the father was also trying to help seek admission for his only son at the same school.... i remember just like yesterday....the father and his only son became best friends....and about a year later...the father and his only son were invovled in a motor accident....and both of them died....the only family member left was just the mother and her prostitute daughter...the mother was neglected by the society..because she was accused of been a witch....Can anyone explain this paradox story... as i have said a story that is 100% TRUTH. CATHERINE JACKSON SHOULD BE GRATEFULL TO GOD ... AND GRATEFUL TO JOE JACKSON... FOR THE FAMILY HISTORY

Although I disagree with Joe methods, they were affective. He accomplished something no other black father has yet to accomplish on that level & that's, black family success! Rip Joe & Michael... Gone but how could you ever be forgotten? You stamped the world Michael Jackson! 🙌🙏📷🎬📹🎥🎧🎤🎵🎻🎹🎷🎺🎸🖥🎛🎚🎼

Imagine a beautiful day, no make that a Perfect day, in Heaven. The real Heaven. The sweet sound of music. The smell of fresh food. A huge "NO LIVES MATTER" rally in the park. The people are playing. The animals are playing. The people are playing with the animals... and Michael Jackson is doing gyro-spins & Moonwalkin' right through the middle of all of it. Then, out of nowhere...BAM! The King of Pop.... has just danced into his Pop, Joe Jackson, who has arrived to join his son in Heaven for all eternity. I've would have to guess Michael's, Heaven just got a little more complicated.
