My daughter who is 2 yrs old currently has been listening to this song since she was 1 yr old and sleeps to it. She has a name for this song, she calls it Aa mama. 🙂. It is indeed a soothing rendering.

What a rendering of Dwijavanti! I don't know how many times I have listened to this. Listening to this, I recollect standing before Akhilandeswari temple and able to feel the breeze and sand particle there. Truly divine!

Aha So peaceful. Really u start feeling violin and mridangam is just not necessary particularly for this raga with Hindustani touch. With just tanpura in the background it is like floating in a dreamy world.

I was reminded of this wonderful Dwijavanti piece alapana by legend Madurai TN Seshagopalan. Just listen to his improvisations in charanam. For example, with the madhyamakala phases "Jambari sambhavithe" he goes on to sing in the drutha kalam....and what a wonderful effect! Similarly in "lambodhara guru guha" pharases also he introduces some rare sangathis. I really liked the rendition by Trichur brothers though.
