At that point I think you just have to do the math, which will of course be harder. Perhaps "save" the remainder of the units digit in your memory and add it back in at the end? After watching this, I get the feeling that this is more made for people in competitions, and in those competitions they have these set ups that are easy once you di the rearrangement. But at first glance they look hard,just like the video screenshot until you realize they can be paired.
