Hey guys! So I am getting a ton of the same questions on here and I just wanted to refer to Nick Mulpaganos dvd. He explains everything perfectly! There was about 4 hours of footage I had to cut out of this to make it shorter.😊

ReelGalAmanda - I was inspired by you, I saw this video months ago. I bought Nick's DVD's & just got an airbrush & compressor. I'm going to start practicing converting TOTS masks, then sculpt my own Kirk. BIG thanks to you!! BIG thanks to Nick M @ Handiboystudios, for sharing his expertise with us!! Very generous of him!! I was binge watching TESTED & your videos tonight.

TOTS just acquired the official "Halloween 78" license from Rubie's. The new H1 mask is going to be a fresh Justin Mabry sculpt. I'm crossing my fingers for real hair (mohair or camel) and not the shag gorilla carpet that makes the Elrod and Hospital masks so sad. I'm glad I just bought 2 new airbrushes and a crap-load of paint...

Crazy how much the eye cuts have evolved over the last 44 years. The ends mask eye holes are so different than anything else out there imo. The outsides of them tend to slope downwards slightly.

Awesome video! Didn't realize there was so much work that goes into a seemingly simple mask. A good reminder to always take a closer look at the details.

This looks absolutely incredible! The ToT paint job has always bothered me because the amount of flesh tones on the neck and under the nose. It’s such a harsh line as well. Bringing the flesh tone lower on the neck and blending it well makes it look so much more accurate. I do have a question though...is there a reason why there’s a large portion of flesh tone going up the right side of his face? I don’t remember ever seeing that in the movie, but if it’s for artistic flare I’m into it. =]

Awesome job... Got my self a elrod mask today that I'm going to try and overhaul as I'm a big halloween fan... Wondered if you had any tips for me I basically want to just weather the original mask and add more detail like the jowel lines mouth etc and the cut and style the hair... 1. Do I need to rub the mask down with rubbing alcohol? 2. To dry brush the detail in the lines do I need to mix acrylic with liquid latex? 3. is the weathering just acrylic and water or liquid latex too And finally do I need to apply anything when finished as protection? Thank you hope you can help would be much appreciated and I'll show you when finished... 👍🏼😊

I’ve done a few conversions, and I always have issues with my airbrush choking up and clogging, it’s a dual action airbrush and for the compressor it goes to 48+ psi, should I use a single action instead? Also I verify the latex/paint combo is skim milk consistency… running out of ideas.
