1. I think at least the first part of this scene should have been kept in. It provides more development to the kids, and some pretty good humor as they see the "Treats" they got from the drunken faculty party. Though, I must concede that the reveal of Rhonda's house in this version feels a little clumsier than it did in the final cut (i.e. Chip just seems to discover the house, which just coincidentally turns out to be Rhonda's house). 2. I feel if I ever have a daughter, she'll probably be a lot like Rhonda. I have disabilities, can be shy and socially awkward, adore Halloween, and will almost certainly pass on those traits to any kids I may have.

I'm kind of mixed on Schrader's fate. On the one hand, 1. He was the only one of the kids involved in the prank who came across as at least a somewhat decent person. 2. He and Rhonda did seem to be hitting it off well. That didn't seem to be an act. It reminds me of that scene from 'Muppet Treasure Island' when Long John helps Jim escape, Jim asks why he did that, and Long John responds, "'Cuz I like you, kid! I hope you didn't think I was lyin' about that, too!" 3. He appeared to be genuinely sorry for his role in the prank. Seeing him comforting Rhonda afterwards was really sweet. On the other hand, 1. As Dark_ Merci points out, he knew what they had planned (And also had to have known that an abandoned rock quarry is an extremely dangerous place for kids/ teens to hang out at, and ESPECIALLY to pull a scary prank at), yet didn't seem to try and talk them out of it or anything. 2. This may seem like a minor point, but when they were chasing Rhonda, he was the one who stepped on her glasses (The grunt heard during that part sounded exactly like his voice). 3. From a storytelling point of view, it would have been incredibly difficult to come up with a way for Schrader to survive/ escape that while Macy and Chip didn't. So, it's a really mixed bag for me.

Rhonda did the right choice she is very clever...remember what Macy said about the elevator when they where going down to the quarry? ''I'm sorry but It can only fit 3 people for safety!''. If she would open the elevator for them those 3 would ditch her out and get inside to leave her. They are not trust worthy.
