Thank you! Thanks for hanging in there for my long time away from solo playthroughs. They are the main focus again for the channel.

20:12: the winger received the pass during the action before, so he could have moved again (passing counts as an activation, receiving a pass does not). Thanka a lot for the playthrough! Waiting for the game in Europe.

I tend to miss things when filming because of my divided attention. Thank you for watching 😊

Cool playthrough! :) Few comments: At 04:12 you say that the goalie stays in the crease. This is a slight inaccuracy, because nothing prevents the goalie from leaving the crease. It will simply take more activations and is a risky thing to do, but is sometimes necessary. At 16:02 the red team could have used the reaction move to move the goalie down one space, to prevent the shot. I assume you wanted to demonstrate how the scoring works ;) (Same at 27:08) 18:22 The line card is changed when you refresh stamina after scoring the goal. At 20:18 The center made a pass as a second activation. The winger could move, but the center could not. 22:36 Since the player you are hitting couldn't be pushed back in the direction of the hit, you could place him in any adjacent empty square, not only in that one square that you've placed him into (though that is a valid placement, just not the only one).

Solo playthroughs are the main focus again for the channel. Thank you for sticking with me during my long break and experiments with different formats.

The suspense is killing me!!! Can't wait for the next instalment. I don't generally like Ice Hockey, have never followed the sport, but Trick Shot looks like fun. Big question is, where can I get a copy? I have even checked Wolff Designa website and they don't have it listed for sale.
@GrayBoardGamer4 жыл бұрын
Wolff Designa plans to list copies for sale on their website in 1-2 months. The number of copies available will be limited and they have no plans for retail release. Looks like Kickstarter was the only way to ensure you got a copy 😢

Could you have moved the goalie a step to the right instead of the defender one space on the reaction? 16:00

I'm sure I missed plenty of opportunities, when filming I am so focused on talking about what I am doing and not bumping the camera, that I miss obvious moves 😜

@@GrayBoardGamer I don’t have the game ....wish I backed it....then was stupid that I didn’t buy it 2019 Pax Unplugged.... I was asking if he could of moved.....I understand doing several things making the video....it was ok because you showed how scoring worked.

So I’m assuming he could of moved?
@GrayBoardGamer4 жыл бұрын
I checked the rulebook and the active player resolves their action before the reaction occurs.

Yes, he could have moved, sorry misread the context of the question

seems like a very fun game! one BIG concern though: if four minutes of 1st period takes about 30mins to play, is this game overstaying it's welcome? Even with you clearly knowing the rules and moving at a quick pace, making quick decisions, you only got 4mins into first period. I fear this game taking hours to play with new players at the local pub. You mentioned advanced rules. Are the core rules quicker? I think this game would be a blast, if the entire game (all three full periods) took about 30 mins, and could be taught in about 5 minutes, max.
@GrayBoardGamer4 жыл бұрын
The rulebook suggests you play just one period for your first games and then extend to 3 periods once all players have a good grasp of the game. I am also getting lucky with my rolls in this first few "minutes" of the game. The play moves fast with experienced players. Most of my 2 player games take 30 - 40 minutes. The core rules remove line changes and stadium cards, so there is less to think about.

@@GrayBoardGamer thanks for the reply! I think I will give this game a pass for myself, but will surely follow this playthrough with great joy!

You say you are playing it solo but aren’t you playing for both teams? You are making decisions for both teams. Then you’re playing against yourself. How do you find out whether you won or didn’t if you’re playing both teams?

I've definitely been using the wingers as centers and the centers as wingers... whoops!

Mixing up the minis won't change the gameplay as long as you are using the correct stats for the position.
