I bought the tp-link Archer T3U Plus, but my laptop still couldn't see the 5ghz hotspot from my Oppo A54 phone, it would only see it when set to 2.4ghz. Other devices that I use can all connect to the 5ghz. After a lot of digging I found out that the Oppo hotspot uses a 5ghz channel that the tp-link can't use. Also, the Oppo A54 doesn't have an option to change the channel like some of my other devices. Any ideas?

@@TrickiKnow I downloaded a Wifi scanner on my other phone and it looks like my A54 uses channel 149 on the 5GHz frequency. It looks like the Archer TU3 doesn't receive 149 or above. All my other 5GHz devices can receive on this channel. So I returned the item and bought a different brand which can use channel 149. Problem solved.

T2U nano will work with any wifi, may be there is problem with the jio 5g. Try to check with other wifi adapters too.
