It is my birthday (as I am writing this message), and so I want to sing a very special song to celebrate!
Hunger (Kuufuku) is a tremendous milestone for me as an artist. MafuMafu is not only my favorite artist, but the one I am most inspired by. Ever since I began singing, I have wanted to properly cover a MafuMafu song, but have been waiting and practicing until I felt my skills were sharpened enough (having never had a vocal lesson before, this has been a tremendous journey of learning). Many days behind me where I felt like quitting and giving up- that such a goal was simply unobtainable. But fellas, we did it! I am so thankful for all the support on this channel. I am so thankful that I never gave up.
MafuMafu's music is very special to me. He has a way of reaching parts of my heart that have never felt heard. I hope that you can feel that in my cover of Hunger.

It's the same pitch, we just use slightly different tones- he is almost exclusively using a nasal tone for consistent tone across his range, whereas I blend nasal and open tones because I like changing tone throughout songs. Dude the high notes are so damn impressive, love the cover. I’ve been listening to it on repeat for a while, each listen it gets better and better. Probably my favorite cover by Trickle. I believe the song may be about lust? It may be a stretch but with the words at 3:13 aka the “I know this hunger” it makes me think of a lustful attraction. OR this song is about the want to give into sin but refusing to, despite the hunger (desperation) it causes. Because the apple and how the character refuses to eat that only food.

YOOOOOOO!!!! I freaking love how the high notes have this underlying screamo sound that I've been trying to learn about, the texture really adds to the desperation! Plus rather than being breathy you mix so well that the strong foundation can have your emotional voice make it feel like there's crumbling while the bottom line has structural integrity to spare!
