regular knuckle duster loses to jin knucklduster in terms of cool looking and fast and flow and the regular knuckle duster goes well with the og chaplin. the openings and closings are whatever cause openings are closings for most flippers like me just choose whatever they want in the moment and i see all the simple openings are used as closings sometimes and half murnax goes along with helix aerial into og chaplin

I used to play with the latch a lot ages ago, back when latches were the standard. I definitely agree that latchless is the way to go, but I used to do them constantly. For the latch drop closer, it feels better when you can fling the balisong to the side and make it do a 180 while you hold on to the latch, which is obviously something you can't do with just the handle.

I actually recently started doing the knuckleduster a lot, its a really easy way to go into the slap transfer, it can also be a nice alternative way to switch handles :D

the knuckleduster imo is a move that doesn't really work well in making a combo look good if you try to string another move after it. Sure you can combo it, and it will actually string together, but it just doesn't look nor feel that good to do from my experience

2:10 i tbh do this trick a lot when just freestyling and not thinking much, because ive done other openings like 20 times that day already so i switch it up with this one

Honestly most of these I have seen more advanced flippers do takes on im combos. I do all of these but I am more of a tech flipper trying to do spine grabs and slanted ladders in-between my fans. I honestly think the average flipper is intermediate or maybe high intermediate and until you start really developing your style which happens more at advanced level then you dont think about how to use this in a combo. Cause you can make anything look fluid if you practice enough. Only caviat is ypu are kind of right for large aerials

EDC balisong? should edc a glock, you put to much pressure on the bolts to stab an object with a lot of force and would probaly break

I use the figure eight to close and I'm an expert flipper 😭 but yeah I do it cause its satisfying and its under used also you did a bit wrong 😔

I disagree with this take but to each their own. I feel that there is no trick that is “for beginners” yes there are easier tricks but we all still do moved like the y2k or double rollout despite them being among the first tricks beginners learn
