i fixed this problem by using one of those big USB-C laptop chargers. I guess it just needed a stronger plug. 65w - 45w

That “Reset the headphones” crap I kept reading and trying over and over didn’t work for me. I did it like seven times. Despite having a strong charging cord and brick (Anker IQ model) my issue was that it wasn’t connected to an outlet or a good extension power strip - but a cheap ass extension cord I ought to throw away. If anyone has issues, I suggest identifying if the cable you’re using is crap. Use the one it came with or an alternate one with IQ capabilities. If that’s not it, check your brick. Just because the cable is swanky doesn’t mean the charging will be good if the base sucks ass. And if none of that works, check if it’s connected to an extension and try using an outlet on the wall, or a power strip that you know isn’t going to be stingy giving off power. If none of that helps and the warranty is still valid, get it exchanged. If you don’t have a warranty anymore, you have my sympathies.

I reached out to Apple support and was able to reset the headphone and charge again. Hold down the volume down button and the power button for 10 seconds. When the light on the right ear cup blinks red and white, release the buttons. Hope this helps!
