These F1's were VERY tricky to catch but really worth the effort once we found the right depth! Thanks for all of the great messages this week and please remember that for all channel news, coaching products, coaching days and the contact form please visit www.catchfishingchannel.co.uk Have a great weekend baggers!

Would you ever consider using a smaller hook and bait to try and entice a bite when the fish are acting up. I only fish one venue which is predominantly F1's averaging 3lbs ish. I know you were hoping to catch mainly carp hence 8mm pellets but I suspect they would be very selective due to some F1's having tiny mouths. I use Coppins 4's and Skrettings 6's in a tiny band and size 20 hook which I find less selective all through the year. My thinking is a smaller bait spooks them less and still fits in a large mouth with ease.

Oh yes Malc mate that can often be the way to go can't it and I know lots of the great F1 pole anglers swear by smaller hooks don't they mate!
