Never tie straight 80....don't ever ever do that. There's times where you either have a shark or a "fished near death" fish that you may need to break off. At maximum you should have a 30lb class tippet. Take it from someone who's connected with between 300-400 Tarpon...don't do straight 80 on Tarpon.

Hello from Scandinavia. Thanks for a verry informative video as always. You mentioned that one of the camera crew guys steped on a stingray and he was only wearing booties. That happend to me twice in my last trip to Mexico. It made me really Think if I want to do Saltwater fly fishing and more. Recently Simms came out with a boot called the FreeSalt Boot. I asked them about if the boot can handle a stingray and they Said that it can. It would really be great if you could do a review on that boot. Best Regads N M

Greetings from Portland, Maine. Glad you are enjoying the content, and thanks for taking the time to respond. While we cannot personally vouch for the FreeSalt's effectiveness against stings, it does offer significantly more support and protection than a bootie. We currently have most sizes in stock and please let us know if you have any further questions! Tightlines
