Mrunal Thakur gave a very boring, uninsightful, and cliché reply. There was nothing new to it. I yawned at it. Nepotism is a reality. It'll cease to be a reality the day children of stars line up for auditions like everyone else. Simple enough to understand?

Whe Jaya ji lists the priorities of her husband - "his parents, his children, his work and then me , if there isn't anyone else" really hits home for many women who have gone great lengths to shower love on their husband, from leaving their maternal home to giving up career at their height. No wonder the lady has turned sour with age.

This happens when a man doesn't have his wife as his priority or constantly cheat and want her to be okay as far as he is emotionally or financially with her. Typical Toxic masculinity at its peak. The interview with Jaya Bachchan really makes me sad. All she ever wanted was love from her husband. People gave her so many insensitive names. She was always projected as the bad lady. I saw a few posts saying that "Why did Amitabh marry Jaya, instead he should have married Rekha". They don't understand that what Amitabh did was an extramarital affair. Jaya was pregnant with a child at that time. No wonder she became a heartless woman. She had everything yet she didn't have anything.

That confession of Hrithik when he revealed that he would think twice before doing experiments with his roles of genre and would rather do the same heroic film's like War breaks my heart. Exactly what people don’t get, they don’t get how in soft manner Hindi is imposed on many people, not just Tamilians. I was bullied for my broken Hindi in Delhi. I speak fluent Marathi and English. But Hindi actually is way different. I had no habit of using Bombay Hindi. Oh boy, I was bullied, so was my mallu friend. Here in Mumbai, I chose to speak Marathi and English. If anyone is speaking in Hindi, I still do that. I cannot focus on conversation of I have to use Hindi. But people still continue in Hindi, despite they use English in formal conversations. I was even bullied for being Marathi, because the teacher was angry about treatment North Indians got due to Thackeray. So, if such people exist, how will India be united? Hindi imposition is not good.

Kartik Aaryan was great on Aap ki Adaalat but him saying that he doesn't believe the SRK statement- '' I’M the last of the stars" and going on to say that jab tak log movie dekhenge star bante rhenge is honestly just funny and delusional for me because the amount of PR, articles, Interviews they do after one big hit. I remember, After Adipurush's teaser got flack, there was a article on how Kartik would be the best Ram. And look at for example Ajay on one hand, Drishyam 2 was such a big hit but he didn't need to do all of that. Hrithik while being a star kid is himself the biggest megastar pack anyone can carry, just his looks are too much for Bollywood. Else he has done everything to be labelled as allrounder actor in Indian cinema. There is literally no other actor in current gen that can match his persona. Mr Rajnikanth was the similar person before him - again the looks which are choices. I wish Hrithik could reach the level where SRk is, he deserves it but just his badluck.

Wholeheartedly agree. Bollywood has never been able to utilise him to his full potential. The range that man has is unbelievable and considering that he's extremely underrated. Also, i think staying detached from the audience and fans off camera (he's not that active on social media) is a big part on why he's not bigger. At the same time he doesn't do that many movies either so we don't even get to see him on screen for years. Srk himself admitted that half of his success came from winning hearts, as in from his personality, his interactions and behaviour towards fans etc.

The reason why SRK has received so much love all over the world is because of his work and back to back hit movies over 25 years. Hrithik has almost completed 20 years but hasn't had as many hits to his name. Just because he's got good looks and the persona. Doesn't guarantee you success. It's the work which makes the audience fall in love. Even after 20 years of he's not able to get that mega superstar success then its not bad luck.
@randomhuman97
@randomhuman97 2 жыл бұрын
@@simeonsankeerth4435 the only reason one can argue that SRK is a bigger star is that he did the bulk of his hits in the 90s. In the 2000s and 2010s, the number of his hits reduced gradually. ok so i may get a lot of shade for saying this but i absolutely love what mrunal thakur said. nepotism, i'm sorry, may have its roots of origin due to bollywood celebrities but its always been supported and promoted by the media and even us viewers. even if we're spreading pessimism about star kids we're still popularising them right? after all any kind of publicity is good publicity for them. i remember another celebrity even asking the audience what should their children do? should they not take the opportunity of making a career in what they want to with their parents' help? the film industry is not the only place where nepotism takes place. it happens literally everywhere. idk why we make such a big deal of it in this case. have we ever reprimanded big time industrialists for handing over their businesses to their children? no right? so why the hypocrisy here. star kids may have the privilege of being introduced on a huge platform but at the end of the day it's up to them to leave their mark on this industry. side note- i completely love how rational your videos are and how you interact with your viewers via the comment section.

I have always said that the main thing holding back the hindi cinema is the audience itself. We talk about and often complain that why Hollywood is ages ahead of us in this modern day & age. The answer is, because artists there can experiment and come up with new roles and genres and that often lead to masterpieces. Majority of the Indian audience, unfortunately, only goes to cinemas for - actors, nudity, abusive language, and action. Once the audience starts caring about things like plot & performances, we'll start catching up to Hollywood too.

its actually changed drastically in hollywood as well. Now, no one is going for the compelling, oscar winning films anymore. Babylon and Amsterdam bombed at the box office. I truly enjoyed Vikram Veda because I had not seen the original. I liked Hrithik’s performance a lot because I was not comparing it with the original. People who have seen the original might not like the remake. I feel - because people have the access to originals, dubbed versions so they prefer the original over the remake - which is fair. This shows that even if the actors have put in their best, the audience is not applauding them for their efforts because it ends up being compared or treated as an inferior copy of the original actors (which may or may not be true at times). Without taking away anything from the original material, let us not forget that people put in a lot of efforts and energy to make the remake as well. Vikram Veda did NOT feel like a half hearted attempt banking on the success of the original.

Sad because he was mind blowing in VV. Hrx remakes is always better than original. But, it was sadly sandwiched between ponnaiyn selvan and kantara. It got lost in the storm

Exactly, somehow total blame is on "star kids" when their own birth was not even something they could control, while the media can totally control what and whom they give exposure to and how much. AND more importantly, the biggest power is with the audience themsevlses. If only the amount of people in the crowds out to crucify nepotism, channeled that destructive energy into something productive and supported the ones they believe deserves it, things could be different. After all, more than inside connections, the important thing is an actor's career would be crowd support. Even if the industry wanted to ostracize someone, loud fan support would protect them from that fate!
