The main issue here is the direction, not Siddhant. In fact, he's probably the only one in that age bracket who could pull this off. So, whether he did a good job or not isn’t the question. The real fault lies with the director-an actor is only as good as their director. And don't even get me started on the screenplay; it felt all over the place. The pacing and momentum dropped randomly for no reason.

I dont think outsiders have the same level of choice we think. Acting is a job and it is based on brand exposure. Its a catch 22. The real problem is the lack of capable writers and screenplay writers to compliment the few chances an outsider will have. This is why other industries are more fortunate in that at least there is screenplay writers and great DoPs even with run-of-the-mill stories.

The problem is that the Yuddhra makers had no idea Raghav will be so popular after Kill and Gyarah Gyarah , They focused on Sidhant but RJ was out of syllabus, film makers calculations did not match, late attempt to promote Raghav was a survival attempt and lastly in the film there is not much content of RJ which audience wanted to see , and overall failed. He became famous after roasting Ananya. His comment, though real but, was made unintentionally. He never knew he would get so much hype for that single comment. However, after that comment I saw that during the promotions of both Gehraiyaan and Kho Gaye Hum Kaha, he kept glancing at Ananya sarcastically. He acted as if he was ready for her to slip so he could roast her. I felt like he was bullying her. But what happened? Gehraiyaan was received negatively and was forgotten within a month and Ananya got all the praise for Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. In both films he was so forgettable. I see no spark and charm in him. I will sound very shallow but he does not look like an actor. An actor possesses a certain type of charm and appeal that pulls people. Yudhra became a bit popular for Raghav Juyal. I feel there was a time when Excel Entertainment was producing good stuff but then they have also entered the wagon of producing shit movies and buy actors on contract. One such example here is Siddhant Chaturvedi where he is not able to say NO to Excel Entertainment. He is surely going to see a downfall something similar to what happened to Siddharth Malhotra with Karan Johan's banner and Parineeti Chopra with YRF banner. I really hope the actors are given actually the choice whether to act or not in a movie.

I disagree with your opinion on Adarsh Gaurav; I feel he has the charisma and x-factor (apart from of course the acting potential) that will make him a household name in the years to come. Siddhant Chaturvedi overestimated his potential as an actor and a star who could actually bring people to the theatres. He shouldn't have opted out of 'Inside Edge', because he belongs to the OTT world. This may sound harsh, but lets be honest, he doesn't have the face to be a movie star and looks matter a lot; anyone who disagrees is either lying or living in a delusion. Also, I don't know what made you watch 'Yudhra' in the first place because this movie has 'waste of time' written all over it. Times have changed, gone are the days of people rushing to the theatres just to catch a glimpse of their favourite star; they can do that on KZbin and Instagram. Nowadays people watch movies that excite them, they don't care that much about who is the actor or actress. if they like the trailer, concept and songs, they will visit their nearest theatre to watch the movie. The movie has to connect with the audience in order for them to spend some money on it. Stree 2 is a great example of that; the movie has no superstar presence and yet it has managed to make more money than the likes of 'Pathaan' and 'Animal'.

He did a mistake by rejecting Brahmaastra 😂for sure. That was too much arrogance if you ask me. For eg vicky kaushal started with Love shuv te chicken khurana and Bombay velvet when he was really young and then went on to become a hero after few years. I had seen the trailer for yudhra and it seemed to have some exciting action setpieces but they also told the whole story in the trailer itself so what is the point of watching it? 😒. And yes the story seems to be done before . I don't know when but some elements of it are taken from other movies. As for siddhant chaturvedi , he doesn't have too many expressions or charm/swag of older generation stars to hold audience's attention.

@@rohitsharma-ps1sf Well I saw the making of Gully boy in my college "VG Vaze college in Mulund East, Mumbai. That rap song by MC sher in his entry was shot in our campus here. Regarding Brahmaastra, well SC rejected that part because his father convinced him to do it. He initially wanted to do it. But his father just asked him who is going to remember you in a film which has Alia Bhatt and Ranbir kapoor in lead roles 🤔? You are much more than that. You deserve better than this role . Those were his father's exact words . Anyway SC and his career was almost destroyed for rejecting a part like that. And he was not getting any roles from big production houses till he landed MC sher character in Gully boy later on after few years which was a rage literally. Anyway i recently got to know of this part of role rejection. But his choices post Gully boy makes us think what could have happened if he had not rejected Brahmaastra 🤔? Because he hasn't done any impactful roles or hit movies after Gully boy.

i feel like the problem with actors, both male and female, in the 20-30 age category today is that they are all so generic, they look so cookie cutter, they all look the same, do the same kind of roles. you could easily swap one out for the other and nothing would change and that's why they cannot achieve stardom. they have been crafted through focus groups in board rooms. whereas in the era of srk etc. and even after each "star" had their own usp. if i replace juhi chawla with kajol and vice vers the performance and character would totally change. amir khan would play don completely differently.

I do not know if it is true but I feel these guys have tried to become “relatable” to “connect with the audience”. To become a star you have to sort of present an “ambitious” image. Something like you aren’t just anybody in the neighbourhood. Whilst something like this might work wonders in KZbin, like all the vloggers and ones like Mostlysane back in the days. You might lose the aura of a “star”. Rajkummar and Kartik Aaryan maybe started off as relatable, but they haven’t really pretended to be one amongst the crowd after the initial throttle of fame.
