Despite other actors with brilliant performances but Hrithik totally carried the movie on his shoulders and made a huge impact with his creativity with such an iconic role. Personally i think vv is a overrated story ,that ending where saif finds out that all his fellow police officer are corrupt is laughable , come on you didnt notice when this guys are buying new sports bike paying lakhs of tution fees for their children how dumb witted can you be ,andhadun had a far more engrossing and sophisticated story than vv. this being said hrithik work in vv should be appreciated . his every move his every gesture where aim at the masses .this remind s me of the greatest mass hero of all time big b in his prime. he knew how to deliver a scene to the masses. hrithik is not in the same lv as big b in his prime but he is some what close .big b was a towering figure and was taller than everyone on screen and had the best dialogue writers in Bollywood ever to amplify that. hrithik on other hand doesnt have that towering presence or support of the dialouge writers but he still managed to give a impactful massy touch on every scene ,those scene are trageted at the masses . hrithik handle the character pretty well if you ask me.

I know that Big B was great in his prime but Hrithik always has been in his prime if we talk about acting and doing versatile roles impeccably. Big B is taller but even though he lacks that attraction level that Hrithik holds and I am not just talking about looks rather it's mainly about how an individual carries his character, how he walks, how he talks, and in which unique way one portrays his character at its best. Abhishek openly saying “ We’re waiting for Salman “ , Vicky being pushed aside by the bodyguards or the security provided by the organisers ? It was plain embarrassing. There are clips of the unedited version with Abhishek hosting and some winners giving their acceptance speech when Salman walks in. The entire show is stalled. The winners had to stop talking because the public would not stop hooting for Salman. Similar incident happened when Salman gets up to greet someone while a tribute to Kamal Hassan was being played on the big screen and they had to stop the tribute midway with Abhishek walking on to the stage and apologising for the “technical glitch” and requesting people to once again divert attention to the screen. You can clearly see Abhishek visibly uncomfortable on both occasions . I cannot fathom why the two , Abhishek and Vicky willingly signed up for this. I don’t even like Salman but will admit he takes over everything because that’s just his aura. This was just not their day. Abhishek has to dance with HR later making a fool of himself and Vicky trips over Rakhi’s gown and falls 😂 I’m not even going to talk about Varuns dance but the choreographer must truly hate him to make him do all that despite him being a reasonably good dancer. The offscreen drama as always takes over.

I remember one award speech by Manoj Bajpayee, where he said that he wouldn't mind losing this award to the rest of the nominees because they are so full of talent and skill and it's the trophy that gets awarded. In my view, all the performances from the last year like Anupam Kher in Kashmir Files, Rajkumar Rao in Badhai do, Hrithik in Vikram Vedha, Ayuhsmann in Action Hero and etc. all deserved the award. However, for Hrithik to totally tear his star image and create a Vedha for himself when the majority of the audience had already gone gaga over Vijay setupati (including me), was a task. He has proved that it's the risk that makes you an actor. As a fanboy, I still cry seeing any trophy in his hand and people screaming his name! :) :)

I guess most people jump on the bandwagon of being anti remakes and diss everything that has to do with the film. Vikram Vedha, despite being a remake, was a well made film with strong performances (Hrithik being the standout). People can say that their personal view was maybe Rajkumar Rao for Badhaai Do or any of the other performances, but simply discounting a performance because it was in a remake is something I struggle to understand.

Hrithik's performance in VV being bashed is because of people's prejudices against remakes, despite it being one of the best performances of the year. He deviated from the original version played by Vijay Sethupathi and people are just not willing to break the mold. They are just not ready to accept that a character can be played in multiple ways. Similar thing happened with Agneepath. His character was different to that of AB, it was a more grounded performance compared to AB's over the top version. But many didn't like it because they already had an image of Vijay Chauhan set in their mind and any deviation was instantly termed nonsensical.

Hrithik is the best actor who can do everything and was fantastic in Vikram Vedha, people nowadays just try to fit unconventional actors like Rajkumar an edge, no doubt they are gud but an actor like Hrithik who keeps proving and breaking all the moulds beyond a genre is awesome, if you will give Koi mil gaya and Krrish to a Rajkumar Rao or Ayushman khurana, the films will fall flat and not fit and won't succed, so Hrithik is the four quadrant actor who can do both and that's why he deserves

I am fully ok with Hritik for best actor. But for the best actress award best choice for me is 'Qala' , one of the finest performance even better than alia in gangubai. And the best musical album, Lal singh chaddha Or Qala would be best. But no regret that these selections were not made, their performance are far above of these awards... I have seen both the movies Gangubai and Qala and both actress have performed very well but Tripti Dimri had lived brilliantly the Qala character especially with her eyes and expression.

I am mostly fallen out of movies these days, specially bollywood ones, but I did watch Vikram Vedha as I am a big Hrithik fan. Though saying that, I still prefer Vijay Sethupathi's version of Vedha, however it cant be denied that Hrithik did really well for his version of Vedha. Growing up I was never a Hritik fan, he came across as very loud and I just didnt feel impacted by his performance, however that being said, Hritik 2.0, away from Love roles he's something else, especially in Vikram Vedha everytime he was on screen he just over shadowed everyone. Honestly, I feel Vikram Vedha as a film on a whole deserved much more appreciation and numbers at the box-office than what it got. Hrithik deserves it he even deserves it for Super 30 ignored by all but recognised by Dadabhai Phalke award jury. Atleast IIFa was right this time. Hrithik made his own Vedha the drawback VV Hindi was the majority of audience watched the OG Tamil version dubbed in HINDI during the pandemic. Drishyam 2 was a success coz the OG Malayalam version wasn't dubbed in Hindi. Something the filmmakers must think about.

Shah Rukh Khan also deserved that Best Supporting Actor award for Brahmastra. He was great as Mohan Bhargav especially when Junoon had trapped him and he was being mind controlled and forced to reveal the identities of Guru and Anish Shetty and how he overcomes Vash Mukut's power even though it was Dev's power. He was completely believable rising above the silly lines he was given and just acting his ass off by just sitting on a chair with his eyes. His cameo was one of the most enjoyed, appreciated and talked about things wrt Bollywood and wrt Brahmastra last year by the general populace. Plus, award shows are no fun without him anyway. I can't even remember when did I last sat down and watched any Bollywood award show last time. I remember when watching Filmfare awards on TV was a family event for us.

Well, the fact that the character of Vedha was immortalized by the brilliance of Vijay Sethupathi so it might be the fans who can't imagine anyone else for the role, even if it is Hrithik Roshan. According to me, this might be the best HR performance by far. Also, because Jug Jug Jeeyo was Karan Johar's production and IIFA or Filmfare cant go beyond honoring Karan's work so the best supporting actor was the consolation win. Agreeing with you, Jaydeep Alhawat should have been awarded for his terrific performance in The Action Hero.

I am a big time movie buff, i watch almost all the movies on OTT and in screens as soon as they release, Hritik winnin the best actor award is justified for me on below grounds: 1. The acting was really good 2. While I belive that some of the other actors nominated also performed nicely in their respective mobies, we need to give some credit to what audience liked to watch, the award shows somewhere reflect the Public Opinion as well and going by that, in comparison to other nominated movies, Vikram Vedha was more successful in bringing audience to theatres. Movies like badhai Do was good but I dont think a lot of people have still watched it , in my family of 20 people (10 youngsters), only me and my husband have watched it. While Vikram vedha was watched by the whole family and Kashmir Files as well.

i totally back u for hritik's performance he was brilliant !!! stole the show ! and u can see that his previous performances were mixed in there u get a glimpse of super 30 and kaabil together with a touch of vicious mind i think him and shahid go in the same bascket as they portrayed exceptional performances in movies that already hit and that were being "boycotted" the fact that musically nobody refered to Jersey's album is shocking to me though as sachet tandon has made a brilliant job with it btw underrated composer of the industry

That guy cineprism is a fraud. He tweeted against Hrithik citing there were many "incredible performances in 2022 better than it", but didn't give a single example of a better performance than it. I believe Rajkumar Rao in Badhaai Do was the only competition to Hrithik in Vikram Vedha. But Raj was not nominated for it. Also, Rajkumar was benefited by the story. It was Hrithik who single handedly made the scene to scene remake watchable with his portrayal of Vedha.
