Trifecta Advantage +, For 17+ Colorado/Canyon

Quick little "review" of the trifecta advantage plus tune. This should pretty well cover what you'll need to do in order for trifecta to write you a tune.
TLDR. Its WORTH IT, even if you have no intention of running 91+ fuel. Shifts smoother and has almost 0 throttle detent.
Trifecta is very easy to install, The instruction on their website are straight forward.
This video is not in anyway an official test of the truck before and after, unless posted from a drag strip or using expensive equipment any 0-60 time or 1/4 mile tests you might see on other trifecta videos are null, You couldn't consistently provide accurate info. That's why i didn't try it.

I WISH I DID THIS TUNE WHEN I BOUGHT MY TRUCK! If you have a Colorado/Canyon, this tune is a no brainer. I've had the tune for only a few months and the difference is absolutely night and day. Not sure about the gas mileage claim because I can't stop hitting the gas pedal! If you watched this video and read this comment, stop wasting your time, get the tune!

Thanks! I had taken the tune out recently so i could get the heater core replaced and all i can say is "what a dog" when driving without the tune. It's an easy first buy for a colorado/canyon owner.

Thanks for sharing this. That doesn't sound stock. Any other mods? Intake or exhaust? Also, it's been a few months since you posted this. Any issues or thoughts that you would like to add after living with it for a while?

Yah! it has been a while..I have some content planned. Including a walk around the truck. I have a S&B intake and gibson extreme performance "duals" They aren't true duals but i prefer how they sound. As for anything to add, i will add that the eco mode "cruise control to activate" is incredible, long journeys i save a lot of gas mileage. The tune, still here and there surprises me when taking off from a light. The shift points are so much better.

Nice review. I just got here after watching your Shuddering video. Does this reprogramming helps on the shuddering issues with 2017 Colorados?

I would certainly ask the local chevy dealership first about the TSB for the shudder, MOST dealerships are aware of the issue and may cover it without the warranty. However if you are out of the warranty window and out of options then i would at minimum get the fluids replaced with the newer "high heat" fluid and then 100% get a tune. It adjusts the parameters of the shifts ever so slightly but provides much better shifting.

I left my 17 Colorado at the dealer for service. The funny thing was that they "didn't know" about the issue which I think is BS since there has been some many TSB out for these trucks. I showed them some dashcam videos about the vibration just for them to be aware. luckily I still have Powertrain warranty left so they are going to check as I explained to them that at 144°F and between a constant 40 to 55 MPH the shudder starts and also the constant shift and downshifting. Will see how it goes.

Update - Got the torque converter replaced as well the transmission oil. The Original Torque Converter Part# 24293013 was discontinued and was replaced by Part# 24298484. The shifts are spot on. The next thing will be getting the Trifecta Tuning.

Yes, as long as you tell the people at trifecta the size tire you are using and follow the directions of how to calibrate your speedometer it'll be as normal. currently im on 33s

I just bought this and realized my Mac is to old to run windows. I’ve been trying it for days and can’t come up with a solution. Would using a friends computer be okay? I’m just wondering about later on if I wanted to go back to stock for some reason

Oh yah, absolutely no risk in using a friends PC. i've gone back to stock when having warranty work done

93, It makes a small difference. I've run 87 in it plenty of times and its still far better than stock.

You use premium? Did you try regular?

I used premium for the sake of testing out a few things, 9/10 times i run regular and i never noticed a difference in power either way. You could run regular
