Was probably the funniest commentary I've ever heard in a BattleForge game! Too bad the carriers are still weak and the score pushing mechanic sours the actual game for me.

@@Eirias_h4 Of course I want a victor when the time runs out but the silly exploit removes what could otherwise be a nail biting finish. It's even worse to watch and play when both teams are doing it. (I should have said exploit not mechanic.)

Ok, so I never played pvp, but why does the player with the highest "score" win at time-out? I thought that "score" is gained when spending power. So shouldn't the player who needed less power to hold their ground win? So, the player with the lower "score"? That way, you are incentivized to use as little power as possible at the end, while still trying to survive. Score-pushing with the orbs is just such an anti-climactic way to end a close match >.< Aside from that nice match! :)

Well, if the player with lower score wins then you're incentivized to turtle. Odds are that the player with higher score was winning anyway, because they had more power available to spend. For example, there's a style of deck called a church deck, which is super defensive and is usually impossible to attack. It's super frustrating to play against, but it usually loses in a timeout situation. If the defensive deck won, then the meta might tend toward defensive timeout games, which nobody wants. Personally I think "draws" are the best solution here, but if someone has to win, it should be the player with higher score imo.

@Eirias_h4 hm true, you might be right about that... But maybe then something completely different should be the deciding factor? Maybe who holds more orbs at the end of the game, and if that's a draw, who drew more power out of power wells. That would incentivice to always play for map control, which is something you should do anyway. The end game would be more interesting if the goal is to spread out and claim as much as possible while still trying to hold what you already have. What do you think about that idea? I just want to avoid the need for score manipulation in the end :D It just seems so unfair that the better team might lose because they don't know that trick >_

Usually I bring a t4 because I hate breaking defensive high power stalemates, but this time I trusted triggz ^^
