Hi, your video is great. You did not use any via ferrata kits or a helmet. How vital is this for a mid experienced hiker? Loose rocks, dangerous places without a cable? Was there many others like you? may be half?) I noticed some people moved very slowly, clipping themselves on every cable. May be only like them need this kit and helmet in particular? Thanks.
@theworldhiker1 Жыл бұрын
Hi Elena, I would recommend a via ferrata kit and helmet. I think that unless you are very experienced it is better to take them than not. I felt like the rock was solid and would say that maybe 20% of people did not have this kit. Better to have it than wish you did.

Hey, Slovenian citizen here...i climbed Triglav for the first time in September, and it would be no stretch to say that I was/am an aaaaabsolute begginer, i had my gear on me, but plenty of people didnt, I could have easily climbed even the hardest of routes bare-handed

I started from sports centre triglav pokljuka. The time varies a lot depending on your fitness level. It took me about 10 hours round trip but I was moving pretty quickly.

so you can do mount trigalev without ropes , helmet etc right you can just walk up. I have done a number of multi day hikes and was seeing some stuff about renting equipment?

A helmet is recommended, however everyone's level of comfort for this kind of hike is individual.

Hello, whats your opinion on doing the climb with a dog ? Are there a lot of wild animals,and is the trail straight or it includes some rock climbing etc ?
@theworldhiker1 Жыл бұрын
I would not climb this with a dog as the last couple miles are challenging and you need your hands for sure.

at 1:17 it is not "Dom Planika", but Vodnikov dom na Velem polju. + very stupid that you did not wear a helmet. Anyways, congratulations on summiting our highest peak :D
@makelovenotwar2467 Жыл бұрын
Do you need a guide or gear or something to get up there? I suppose if you just walk up like shown in the video nobody's gonna stop you, but what's the sensible thing to do there?
@denistitovsek Жыл бұрын
@@makelovenotwar2467 depends. U need gear if u're not experienced enough - but helmet, always. Ofc nobody can stop you

This route starts at Rudno polje. via Studorski preval to the first hut called Vodnikov dom. then he went to Planika hut but for a better experience, I recommend Kredarica for going up and Planika going down.

No matter how much experience you have should have had a helmet on , as you are putting others at risk if something had happened to you . Seen it so many times.
