I conquered Mt Triglav at the end of June this year & it was the first peak I ever climbed in Europe. What made my journey in Slovenia memorable is it never cross my mind to come to this beautiful country. To be honest, Slovenia nature is best to keep as secret 🤫 because I believe it is one of the hidden gem in Europe.
@kimi98766 ай бұрын
It may be the only national park, but there are also 4 regional parks, and plenty of natural parks in Slovenia. And all together 37% of the surface is Slovenia is protected nature. Considering also that forests are covering 60% of the state and forest management in Slovenia is sustainable. As such, you can basically say that whole Slovenia is a large natural park.

Thank you for looking up the park rules before going on the hike. Most people think they are allowed everything and fly drones wherever they want and disturb nature. And thank you for the great video about the trails that I love.

Nice, just one remark: at 10:30 you visited mountain hut called 'Dom Valentina Staniča', not just 'Valentina'. Dr. Valentin Stanič was famous alpinist who first climbed Watzman in Gemany and second to climb Grossglockner in Austria (after setting the rout for first ascend)

Jeff, Audrée - thank you so much for what you do. You inspire thousands of people with your amazing content. Including me. I am clawing my way back to running, after having to pause for 5 years. I did run an Ultra (60km) before and now i am back to being happy about 30 km/week. You inspire me to keep going, even though my goals seem so far away right now. With every videoi see, i tell myself that i am gonna run those amazing trails myself one day. so again, thank you.

I've run a lot in Slovenia (including the trails in your video) and have struggled with the water issue too. There really is no water up high at all. I find Gaia is quite reliable for marking water sources in general. I have a memory of being so dehydrated and desperate running back into Bovec off the top of Rombon - there's a water fountain in the village that I think I pretty much dived into.

Just awesome Jeff and Audrey! I visited Slovenia almost 20 years ago for a friend’s wedding, sadly climbing Triglav wasn’t on the itinerary but we did manage to drive around the Alps, eat bratwurst and sauerkraut (!) and spend time at Lake Bled. Seeing all these trails, and knowing there’s a massive thru hike just waiting there really has me hankering to go back one day… another addition to the bucket list *I’m never going to financially recover from this* 😂

Dear Jeff and Audree, thank you kindly for a beautiful presentation of our country, specially the Triglav national park. As a Slovenian hiker/trail runner/ski moutaineer I feel very blessed to live in such a magnificent place. You are welcome to revisit any time. Maybe Kamnik-Savinja Alps or river Soča Valley. Our mountain traverse No. 1 navigates through those parts too. BTW did you guys get the official butt-spanking on the top of Triglav? We do it also to foreigners and they are all interested 🙃

Been waiting for this almost a year and KZbin remembered to show it to me a month later in notifications :) Anyway, great film in the fantastic setting of the Julian Alps. I climbed Triglav for the 12th time just 2 weeks ago, so it was cool to watch this after refreshing my memory live there. I also climbed from Vrata valley but via the Tominškova Pot trail. In my opinion, if you are experienced hiker, ferrata set is not necessary on these trails, it just slows you down and becomes extra weight and eats up the backpack space outside of secured sections, so it was a good choice that you didn't bring it.
