My father bought one of these for me when I was 7 in 1989. It was a 1972 that we were supposed to restore/rebuild together. We never got around to do that before he passed away. I still have the bike, and seeing this video make me thinking I should get the bike fixed and back on the road again.

EXACTLY like mine. But mine is blue. Sat in my Nana’s garage all my life. I used to play on it as a kid. My uncle gave it to me. With gas prices, I’m getting it going. More videos I watch, more happy I get. I didn’t think much of it, As my other bike’s a Suzuki Hayabusa🦅 One dude said it would ride ok over DIRT! Now I’m more excited about this one.

I had a CB 450 back in the day. My riding partner had the Honda 500 4 cylinder. Many great adventures going to the Rock Store on Mulholland and cruising the San Fernando Valley.

Had three of these, a 1968 CB, a 1970 and a 1971 CL 450 with up swept pipes. Great bikes. These bikes would do 70 mph in second gear.

A very nice motocycle. Its engine design was unusual - torsion bar valve springs. This design allowed for rapid excelleration, and great spring strength for reliablity. Kawasaki took this design and doubled it- making the Kawaski 900 the faster production bike of the time. A truely remarkasble engine.

Nice find. Never were too many of those. The 750 sort of stole it's thunder. I had a '70 CB750 which I painted that color. Believe it or not, that green is a combination of candy gold painted over a base of a really pretty blue with a silver flake. Together creates a green with a bit of a gold flake.

I had a blue one. Wanted green but the dealer could not get one. Nice bike and I eventually traded up to a BMW 75/5, an even better ride.

This Honda 450 could outrun a Triumph 650 in the quarter mile. Also, it didn't leave a puddle of oil underneath it. Japan was now making better motorcycles.

Even without evidence of dry rot, nobody should risk their life on tires over ten years old. I refuse to ride on tires over five years old. Check the date code stamped in the sidewall of each tire. Put a set of nice new soft Michelin Road 5 tires on her and you will be amazed at how much better she handles.
