@@etabubayaga6767 i said under volt. But basically it is changing the voltage that goes to cpu or gpu. Usually increasing voltage increases the cpu or gpu heat and stability and lowering voltage lowers heat but can make cpu or gpu unstable(so more crashes etc.)

The second red flag is anyone mentioning gift cards. Now she is a huge fan of Trilogy Media and shows these videos to all her friends. It’s all about educating people. I'm 65 and I have agoraphobia. The disorder even affects answering my phone. Watching you all work has helped a lot. Let Jaani know he can click the top file/folder in the list, hold shift, and click the last file/folder in the list, or alternatively Ctrl+A, and it will select everything, then right click to delete them all at once. Can delete more files in less time that way, less chance for the scammer to realise what's happening and close the connection.

@@mala3isity yes! Downloading files filled with contact info before deleting is a good idea, and it absolutely can be done! One of the options when right clicking is to download. It's a great idea to grab any document and spreadsheet files.

Watching Jaani deleting scammer's files. Thought this would be helpful for future reference when deleting files (in Windows): 1. Hold shift key and click on first file and scroll to last file to select all files (or use Ctrl-A). Or hold CTRL key and click on the files to select some files and skip some. That might be useful if you want to download some before deleting. 2. After selecting the files and you are ready to delete hold the shift key while deleting to bypass the Recycle bin. So anything deleted will not be recoverable even if you get interrupted during the process. This should be faster and a bit easier that doing one by one. Fantastic job disabling the scammer's computer and phone system.

I decided to go back to school for a computer science degree last year, and watching these videos is so inspiring that I could one day learn to help people like this. I wish there US has a “call center” dedicated to helping the elderly decipher if they’re in a scam or not. Could have business cards and flyers in Drs. offices, public transport, pharmacies, libraries, etc. it could become common place for most elderly to have this number to the “call center” in their homes, next to their landlines.

I actually fell for one and only at the eleventh hour did I realize they were controlling my computer and trying to take funds from my bank account. It was terrifying. I'm a lot wiser for it, but disgusted with people who have no qualms ruining people's lives for a quick buck. Thank you!

I wonder if Jaani and his peers could start an anti-scammer company where you have a whole staff of people (including other former scam workers) who can research, gather evidence, and report scammers on a scale where authorities *have* to pay attention and start going after the crimelords running these scams - because let's face it, it's organized crime when you have bosses who can send guys to intimidate and beat up workers who even put a toe out of line and can afford to pay off police.
