Her brushing your soaking wet, relaxed hair and then using the roller brush to blow dry...it couldn't be me sis. You could do this at home and be gentler

Honestly, the haphazard brushing at the bowl whilst her hair was wet, totally freaked me out. Then round brushing large sections of hair 😅Most of my hair would have snapped off. I guess this girl’s hair is really resilient. Such gorgeous results.

@@patriciapanther I don't know how resilient it was because of lot hair and breakage got caught in that little wig brush sis was using. She was obviously not trying to take her time...and that was just a little back section, imagine when she was brushing out the rest.

Interesting that she brushes wet hair, it just seems my hair is weak when wet so I barely use a wide tooth comb to detangle. Great finished result!

I also tend to use a wide tooth comb at home but she uses a wrap brush. That’s new to me as well.

@@kristenstikes Did she say if there was any breakage or shedding? The few times I let someone brush my hair wet with a 'wet brush' or a 'scalp cleaning' brush I could hair the snapping. It scares the heck out of me!

I noticed that your stylist does not go through your hair pulling it out at an angle to trim. Is there any reason she does not do this? I'm asking because I've had trims where the stylist would trim like your stylist and than go through the hair pulling it out at an angle and trim. I'm totally clueless and have no idea why each way is done. Any answer from you or anyone would be helpful. Thank you for sharing.

Marie D Very observant. She gave me a really good blunt cut a few weeks ago so the majority of my hair is the same length. On the left hand side she does do that angled cutting style because the hair was more uneven. I too have had stylist go through and trim at an angle but my hair was more uneven in the past. Stylists can also cut that way to create layers. Either of those reason may explain why.

@@kristenstikes OMG!!! Thank you so much for explaining this. It all makes sense. I like my hair to be blunt cut in the back (like yours) but longer layers in the front. It seems like I go to people who always want to create layers in the back which I do not want. I feel empowered with this information going forward. I can explain that I want a blunt cut (or trim in the back) and slight longer layers in the front/side.

@@maried5486 Keep in mind that if your hair isn’t already blunt they may still need to go through it, otherwise they might miss splits on shorter pieces.
@natasha3834
@natasha3834 3 жыл бұрын
@@maried5486 if your hair has the layers and you want the blunt cut ask your hair stylist to take an inch off the bottom and cut it very blunt across the ends and if they have to go in to the layers ask them to only cut a 1/2 inch. Do that everytime until your hair is even all around. Do that every time and it will eventually become one length.

For all the ladies who are afraid to trim, this is the way to go! I relax every 10 weeks and I trim every other time I relax, so every 20 weeks. I cut about a half inch or more each time depending on the length I want (I'm currently at just above bras strap level) and my hair regularly outpaces the damage. Much of the time, I don't need a trim at 20 weeks, but I'm programmed to do it then. There is no issue of not seeing length because of a trim: the hair growth is happening. "Growth outpacing damage." Perfectly said.

Omg! I’m so jealous I hope my relaxed hair looks as good as yours. I have a question tho. Did you get you first relaxed at a salon or did you do it yourself? I’m debating on if should Do my own relaxer. I don’t have any salons that nearby can do it.

I occasionally take Horsetail and drink a Collagen shake in the am. But overall it’s grown through protective styling, keeping it moisturized daily, avoiding heat and stretching my relaxers.
