Great review, Thank you. I currently have a 2022 Outlander PHEV 13.8kWh and am very happy with it. Although I currently get (55-60 kms) 34-35 miles all electric range in the warm weather with no A/C use. I do get (20-22 miles) 35-40 kms when the cabin heat and/or defrost is turned on. I am considering getting the 2023 GT model but not if it only gets 38 miles as it is currently advertised. Many you tube channels are stating that this range is very conservative and I agree since it comes with a 20kWh Battery. Unfortunately, no one has yet posted an actual road test to determine the real world range in Elect only mode. This is imperative and I believe it will be more in line with reports from Japan and see up to 50 mi (90 kms) ranges. Hope can do a road test soon. Thanks and keep up the great work.

I have ordered a 2023 PHEV. Is it true that a car can not configured and equipped with a hitch directly from the port, and that we have to wait until April to get it installed at the dealer? By the way. I have been watching your videos for months. I am a big fan and would have bought from you if you were in So. Cal. I will stay subscribed to your channel and look forward to more PHEV postings.

Absolutely outstanding video! I just bought a new 2022 Outlander SEL Touring this past October. I kinda wished I had waited for the PHEV to come out. But I’m thinking seriously of just putting in an order on a second Outlander and getting the PHEV. I love my current Outlander!

Is there goin to be a Ralliart or Evo on the Outlander PHEV?

Based on the training information - there will be a Ralliart trim package available next year on the PHEV. The exact details have not yet been announced...

Hmmm - did I inspire the polar bear behind me ? Hmm - our dealership mascot is a white bear - (check out our blooper reel video ). It just happens that I'm a big guy - and some call me a bear - so not sure which came first

I always thought that DC fast charging was standard on all trims. This is what I grabbed from Mitsubishi Canada website on Outlander PHEV 2023 page: “With standard DC quick charge capability, keeping your battery charged up is fast and convenient.” Also, the base trim ES has this mentioned in the features list “DC Quick-Charge Port”. So, is it like the port is available but not active until you buy SEL or up? Can you please confirm? Thanks.
@RichardHerodIII2 жыл бұрын
@Asad Raza - Thank you for your reply. There may be some feature differences between the US version and Canadian version of the Outlander. The US Spec Version has DC fast charging on SEL trim levels and higher

It doesnt have rear bucket seats at this time. I would love if it did. There is the option to fold down the center armrest to seperate the two rear passengers - but it does not fully function like capatains chairs

Nice PHEV! I thought I would buy this SUV until the new Inflation Reduction Act was signed. It's really too bad the government changed the EV tax credits as this won't qualify anymore making this much more expensive than it was last year w/the tax credit.

The engine isint fuel efficient by means of the competition (the kia sorento - a comparable size PHEV get a total 460 miles compared to outlander 420miles and the toyota rav4 -the most efficient PHEV out there gets 550miles!) its pretty disappointing efficiency wise this suv
@RichardHerodIII2 жыл бұрын
Most people who drive this will be using the All EV Range - which makes it more efficient. Also the Kia Sorento doesn't even have enough power to fully accelerate in EV mode without recruiting the gasoline engine. Also air conditioning and heat turn on the gas motor - making the Sorento more dependent on fuel than the Outlander PHEV. But gas performance to gas performance only - the Sorento is more efficient when you forget that it doesnt have true EV mode like the Outlander
