This actually looks like a swale & berm, not really a terrace.

Not sure what a swale is, but in Kansas we build a channel and berm called a terrace to redirect runoff water to a grass strip or pipe outlet from our high rainfall areas. Dozer is removing dirt from the channel area to build the berm in video. Channel can be 10'-20' wide with berm 1.3' to 2.0' high depending on slope of land.

@@ModernAgInc I learn something new everyday, thank you. So a Swale is shallow ditch with sloping slides. Typically used to help slow the flow of water. Typically on contour. Sounds like the same thing, just different terminology :)
