Trimming a horse hoof

In this video I am trimming a hoof in preparation for the shoe to be fitted. This horses is shod with a pad and packing and so the excess hoof must be removed so that the foot doesn't get sole bound.
I am a qualified farrier based in Dorset UK. Follow me along for my daily life of maintaining and achieving soundness using a variety of methods of the horses in my care. It is important to note that every horse is different and different approaches need to be taken for different horses.
