Trimming the Halloween Tarot

This deck was my first ever mod (trimming and edging). I was inexperienced and didn't know it was a tricky trim. I trimmed it following the images (keeping the titles) and ended up with the skinny littly white borders on the backs. I went over the skinny white borders with black Sharpie (making skinny black borders on the backs) and then edged the deck in black. I also used the smallest size corner rounder. I love mine but your video makes me want to get a new one just to trim the titles off. It's pretty tough card stock. I had mine many years before I modded it and the cardstock is still like the day I bought it. Thank you Dawn Michelle for your inspiring videos!

I love this deck! I have seen several different mods. The one I like the most was just blackening the borders. But when I tried to do it I actually messed up. So I ended up trimming it ( but keeping the titles on). I then edged in black and blackened the remainder of the white borders on the back of the cards. I really like your take on this mod.

OMG i love the way these turned out!!! it really does look better without the white border. it's so unfortunate how a lot of U.S games decks have that white border :( i would totally do this but i don't have the patience nor guts to ahahaa

I love it trimmed! Yes the downside of using the lines on the trimmer is they need to have some closer together so you don't have to cut so much, like mm or something. But it looks great. If I had not blackened the borders I would do this instead!

Just received the deck today and going to make it the first trimmed deck for me as the card size is a bit large for my hand. But just not quite sure whether to remove the white border only or cut the titles like you did? Too hard to make a decision...

I think it depends on how comfortable you are with the cards without titles. If you can. Easily recognize all the cards without the text, you would probably be safe in removing it. However I've seen them trimmed and leaving the titles and that looks great too. I'm not sure if that helps any but good luck with your trimming adventure! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

How long do you let the Crayola marker dry for?
