@7:09 - "Ridge Racer 64" FTW!!! I thought this was a good review. I'm not sure what you could've done differently to make it better. You covered everything anyone would need to know to make a solid buying decision. I think it's telling that you didn't mention the unit's alleged heat issues. Russ thinks it runs too hot while there was a post on Reddit today full of people who own Bricks dunking on Russ because they think it's fine. I assume that you're on "Team: It Doesn't Overheat". I noticed is that your voice was a lot softer and smoother than I'm used to in your controller reviews. You're usually a fair bit more boisterous - I think that's the right word. In this video you sounded very similar to how Rob the Retro Tech Dad speaks in his videos. Did you get a new microphone? I'm not complaining or nitpicking. I thought you sounded fine, just different.

Ah, I didn't even realize there was a heat issue. I wouldn't say I tried to avoid the subject as much as I never realized there was a subject to cover at all 😅. That said, I use two mics in my prod, not a new one per say but this "style" is one that is definitely different, I think I subconsciously reflected my "testing phase" and adopted a tone and rhythm that is unlike my usual videos. Thanks Matt, that's extremely valuable feedback and helps me see things I hadn't even realized when making it!

@GameTechTalk - "I didn't even realize there was a heat issue." Exactly. If there was an issue in your testing then you would've told us. The fact that you didn't means that it didn't have any issues with heat in your testing. That was the point I was trying to make. When people talk about the Brick's heating issues; they're usually referring to that metal plate on the back. It isn't just decorative; rather, it serves as the heatsink for the SoC. The complaint is that it gets hot enough to be pretty uncomfortable to touch. I don't own a Brick so I can't speak to things personally; but, I watch reviews to keep up on things and I browse gaming/tech Reddit more often than is good for my sanity. Seeing those comments today, on Reddit, from happy owners saying that they don't really understand why certain other people are having issues with that plate getting too hot, and then seeing that you didn't have any issues pop up in your testing reinforced that it's probably going to be fine for most people.
