Best Magnetic attachment... Pimax Portal or N-Switch 3.0 🤓🧐🤔

The Switch 2 for sure, it has direct connection, which Pimax Portal did not have, and it has a clip to hold it tight while in use, the Portal you could rock them back and forth, it wouldn't happen by mistake but you could fidget with them, whereas the Switch ones will need to push a button to unclip.

This did come to mind, along with what's the potential compatibility list and how much space it'll have. I love playing Portal and Portal 2, which had surprisingly nice ports on the Switch 1, and I hope to see them be part of the next console.

You mentioning Portal and Portal 2 made me think of games I will most likely replay on Switch 2 just because the excitement of a new device will help me understand how well the experience is heightened, even when simply replaying a Switch 1 title.

When this topic came up in last night's livestream I mentioned in the chat that I was excited for the Switch 2 because it would depress Switch 1 console/game/accessories prices. I'd never bought into the OG Switch and, apparently, me being the patron saint of r/PatientGamers might've finally paid off. Yada, yada, yada... Yeah, I'm sorta changing my tune today. This new hardware looks great and I'm excited for both the backwards compatibility as well as the prospects that original Switch games will get "enhanced" when played on the Switch 2. It could be that the definitive way to play every Switch game, minus the select few that took advantage of hardware features the "Deuce" is dropping, is on the Switch 2. Yeah, the Switch 1 will, hopefully, be clearance priced; but, the upgrades + the extra decade of system support and relevance might make the Switch 2 worth the premium. We'll see. I know that I won't be buying on launch though. I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer to make a good decision.

I'm constantly having backs and forths in my mind. I'm reading rumors that it won't have a proper DLSS solution and rather, Nintendo will sort of come up with its own. I know it's Nintendo and to not expect a powerhouse but I'm also concerned that we may find ourselves in a pretty considerable power creeping situation day one. A part of me wonders if it'll even run native 1080p when in handheld mode, I'm questioning it right now...

It's nice to see that there's going to be a Switch 2, ngl. I'd love me sum Metroid or Smash Bros. But I have to admit that I've never seen so many people on the internet who were as underwhelmed as they're when the reveal trailer came out. And where are the announcements for the new games? Nobody wants to wait two and a half months for the Nintendo Direct. But I guess Nintendo had to act because of all the leaks out there. I mean, and to be fair, there really isn't much to see here. Yeah, it's a little bit bigger and yeah, the joycons are also bigger. But there hasn't been much info revealed. What about the joycons sliding on the table? Does that mean we get mouse mode for the Switch? Ugh. The reveal trailer didn't really say anything and that's a shame imho.

I agree. The announcement is underwhelming, at least with what details are shared. Nonetheless, I'm happy to finally nip all the rumors and have a date that we can hold on to. But let's be real, Nintendo announced an announcement... Really?!? April 2nd better be the real deal and I truly hope they'll do that Direct because they are sitting on piles of stock ready to ship a week later. I'm not holding my breath though.

Fair enough! I'm happy to know that improved hardware is around the corner but for sure, there is still much life kicking in the OG, Lite and OLED Switches and well past Switch 2's launch date, guaranteed!
