This device is unironically goated. I only wish if we ever get a TrimUI smart pro 2 it's powerful to run PS2 games, allows users to set up any wallpaper they wish that persist regardless of what menu you're in and have a touchscreen support for DS games. AT this point it would meet my every single desire.

Had my TrimUI for about a month now. Just upgraded to CrossMix OS and it does indeed take it to another level. Best bang for your buck handheld out there at the mo.

Had my trimui as well for about a month, and agree with most of the points.. it's great, but not perfect, and I don't expect it to be at this price point, but one thing that I am really wanting to get fixed is the left analog stick input polling. If that gets fixed, I'll have zero to complain about.

How much gaming time do you get on a full charge?

@@darkbulbs Honestly I cant say as I have an 8 year old that demands a lot of my time so being able to play a full charge would be a miracle lol but it felt like the battery drain was quicker than stock as I was using it but that could be a completely inaccurate assumption and I could be completely wrong. I think I need to give it another go, maybe I'll order another sd card and do a comparison.

There's 2 set process to this one is the FN button if you slide that to the right side it'll let the device know to make sure it's using little bit more processor. But you also have to go to set up menu and go to processor to activate this. To activate performance mode which will give you a better performance with a battery drain. Honestly don't use performance mode put on power saver you should get way better battery life!

Resume at boot with the game switcher is the killer feature on Onion OS for Miyoo Mini so I imagine that is a big upgrade here too.

Having no touchscreen is a deal breaker for this device. For 120 dollars you can get the Powkiddy X28 with a bigger screen (with touch) and more power overall. PSP emulation is perfect and it can also handle several PS2, Gamecube, Wii and a couple of simple Switch games. Any Android game will also run without issues.

Are you telling me I could run the PS2 Baldur's Gate on the Powkiddy? And, does it have a ZX Spectrum emulator?

@@darkbulbs I would not recommend the Powkiddy X28 for PS2 emulation. There are quite a few games that are able to run well with AetherSX2 emulator after a lot of tweaking, but Baldur's Gate is not one of them. It's a particularly difficult game to emulate and requires more powerful hardware. Maybe the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro can handle it, but can't say for sure. Regarding ZX Spectrum, it runs perfectly of course. I use the Daijisho Launcher and configured the ZX Spectrum games to run with Retroarch with the Fuse core. It's Android, so you can also use other emulators. Here is the list of systems that I run on my Powkiddy X28: Panasonic 3DO, Amiga, Android, Atomiswave, M.A.M.E. (Arcade), DOS, Dreamcast, GameGear, Gameboy and Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gamecube (limited), Genesis, MasterSystem, MSX, N64, NES, Nintendo DS, NeoGeo Pocket, PC-98, PSP, PS2 (limited), PSX, Saturn (limited), Sega32X, SegaCD, SNES, TurboGrafx (PC Engine), VirtualBoy, Wii (limited), Wonderswan, Spectrum.

Its screen is 5 inches. It is considered large for a handheld pocketable console. If you want something bigger you will be looking at something more powerful/the next step up from pocketsize handhelds.

Very hard to say. Id say the trimui smart pro has more potential but less of a community.

@@lewisisdamanif you play games below psp, take the 40xx. Exact display and small form factor with tv out etc.. if you play mostly psp, take the tsp as bigger display. Just know ambernic has better quality products so something to keep in mind.

these guys are making money off of opensource software mechdiy did nothing but rip off Cizia64s hard work. Crossmix alone is free...I'm not a fan of these monetized builds, its bad for the scene and the community
