A road trip to Guayaguayare Trinidad

In this one, we're taking a drive along the Guayaguayare Mayaro Road and checking out anything of interest. Initially I was looking out for any food places to check out along the drive, but unfortunately I didn't encounter any, well except tried and tested Dove's Dirt Oven Delights, so join me my Trinbago Vibes peeps as we explore Guayaguayare and get some Pone and Ice Cream at the end of this road trip

Should definitely try that pizza, will have to call them and order in advance as it takes sometime to heat up the dirt oven (left their number in the description) but you’re most welcome…one day I’ll also be doing those other drive, well will spend a day in Grande as well

Have a bess pone and sponge cake by Alana's on that side! And I remember fishing off those pipes in the water at Pilot Bay! Good times bro! Funny enough the side you went through via Guaya is blocked off by the guard booth, but I believe the other side is open, through Moruga via Saunders Trace and the Guayaguayare/Catshill Road but you need a 4x4 to traverse it.

Pone was one of my favorite desserts. I could eat half of the pone you bought, in one setting. 😆😅😂 My Dad might have taken me to Guayaguayare once. I remember driving to the very end of Trinidad once, as far as we could go, back in the 1960s. There are so many beaches in Trinidad that I never heard of. Mayaro was the Go-To beach because we knew a family who had a house on the beach. The man was Chinese born fisherman, and his wife was white. Nicest couple, and their children were good looking, and very congenial.

Vibes a content pack vlog,excellent quality as usual. I can remember when Amoco ran the oil facility and there was a heliport in operations there. I don't hear anything about the coast guard base out there. Agreed people responsibility for the pollution keep up promoting to keep the environment clean. Would be nice if that escape boat could be used constructively to promote the history of the area instead of just left to the elements. Great idea to create some bathing pools behind the wave breakers hopefully someone watches this vlog and acts. Keep it up.

Thanks Ricky, the heliport is no longer operational as the oil and gas industry fading out in our country unfortunately…I really hope one day when I visit these places I don’t see a set of rubbish as more peeps takes responsibility for their garbage…and I agree with you on the use of the escape boat…thanks for the support 🙏🏽

I won't lie, some parts of the road is iffy, one part is rel mess, but the drive is worth it, especially if you take it from the Manzan stretch side or when in Mayaro

@@sharonallen8632 nope, just those along the east coast and some of the south, you’re safe on any on the north coast: Maracas…highly recommend Las Cuevas, then there are others further on the North Coast road such as 100 steps, Yara, Damian bay…those are on the Caribbean Sea side so little or no seaweed up there

not so much at the seawall but Pilot beach was decent, and it had more people in the waters...I didn't get chance to test it this rounds, as this was a literally last minute video plan so had no towel or change of clothes, lol
