We were there about two months ago. We parked down the hill and my kids walked up that hill no issues. Ages 3,5, and 16. It was a really nice beautiful place. Highly recommend going here. Just make sure you go as a group.

I have not been to Blue Basin in over FIFTY YEARS which is how long it has been since I left Trinidad. I used to live in Blue Range on Rockdale Road. Not much has changed in Blue Basin save for more people, more trash and ever more crime. The road is as 'good' as it has ever been. I will never understand why TnT people are so NASTY and IRRESPONSIBLE with the way that they handle their rubbish - every damn where that they go. This - and the ever increasing levels of crime and violence - are but some of the many reasons why Trinidad will NEVER BE a sought out destination for international tourists. There is so much potential that is just being wasted. There is absolutely NO CIVIC PRIDE and RESPONSIBILITY in evidence in so many of these places. Sad. But at least I can say that I visited the area many years ago and I am still alive and well to remember my time there. 🥴🥵😥

blue basin is very lovely. however be careful jumping into the basin from on high. there is a tree at the very bottom of the basin and i have seen all be it was back in the 1970s someone got stuck in between the branches of the tree and drown. blue basin is very deceptive be careful.
