I used to live in Trinidad. Before getting my RV. But I have gone back since, and you can park overnight in town along the first road before the bend towards the former home of the lighthouse. The winery in town is great, over 40 blends bottled. And they are all exceptionally good. The Lighthouse is not a replica, that was the used lighthouse that used to be at the top of the hill in town at the T-intersection. There is another lighthouse around the other side of The Head. It's not a bad hike. And the hike through the woods towards College Cove is beautiful and therapeutic. I'll be back up there again. Just north of town is a rest stop that you can stay multiple nights. At least, I did last summer without being interrupted.

Hi Russ- Great videos, I use to live in Trinidad in the sixties while going to High school in Mckinleyville. My Dad and I build a beautiful home just overlooking the Trindad Harbor. We would launch over 14' boat and go salmon fishing out in that ocean and one season we smoked over 300 pounds of salmon. Lot of good times in that little town.

You need some grilled fish taco's to go with your tea. Yummy. Neat little park to spend the night.

Russ, another good video..Please tell how much you pay at the places you stay. We could use the info..If you are stopping by Brookings, Oregon, you should check out Loeb Park. Really a great state park, electric, water and nice restrooms and showers, right on the river $24 a night. When I saw the beach you walked on, the first thing I thought of was you late dog, he would have loved it. Safe travels.

Russ you may not have the budget to eat out at restaurants. But there are some Stiffs in Suits out there looking out the 35th floor of some big city building that don't get much sleep because they are competing viciously for the next company promotion. And I bet you a bag of Spicy Cheetos that they envy you and your way of life dearly. Stay safe amigo.
