In term of wild life, it's probably worth noting that Trinidad has the Green Anaconda, worlds largest snake, and is the only Caribbean island to do so. We are also only one of two Caribbean countries,(along with Margarita) to have the Ocelot.

After three years of watching Geography Now, I finally get to see my country. thank you geography now gang for putting your amazing talent and love for this show into the T&T episode . I would say any one thing you missed is talking about the leatherback turtles (which are the largest and oldest of the sea turtles) are most known for coming to Trinidad for nesting and that we have the one of the largest nesting population leatherback sea turtles in the world. If any of the geography now gang gets a chance to come back to Trinidad & Tobago, totally recommend going to see them, it is an amazing experience.

Although I've personally always been annoyed with the concept of a country with two names with the word "and", it's the first time for me to see their coat of arms, and I was just amazed, it's beautiful (just like pretty much any other British-style coat of arms). I mean, dang! The symbolism, the philosophy, colours, the motto; it's just perfect.

Glad to finally see a T & T video as a national and resident of this country. Maybe someone already correct you but combined demonym for people from each island of “Trinidadian + Tobagonian” is Not “Trini-Bagonian” but rather “Trin-Bagonian”. Just a lil fun fact about our carnival, it is The Most Replicated style of carnival in the world/inspired and birthed other carnivals in the world. A lot of other Caribbean islands draw a lot from what is produced in T&T for the festival, but major global cities where a large Trinbagonian /West Indian diaspora resides have some of the largest carnivals there. Toronto’s Caribbean Carnival, formerly called Caribana is the largest street festival in North America. New York’s Labour Day parade is also one of the other largest festivals. London’s Notting Hill Carnival is the largest street festival in Europe. All these carnivals were predominantly started by Trinidadians. The UK alone has over 40 of these carnivals in different cities, as well as other major US cities like Miami, Boston, Atlanta, and very recently Hollywood, have started these Trini-styled carnivals
