This was the first time ive ever seen Tito,i already knew of Blocker well before this point. Based on his great fight with Marlon starling and his devastating loss to "Terrible Terry norris". Great performance by Tito who quickly established himself in my book as a future major force in boxing!

There are some fights that will remain etched in your mind forever. The first time I saw Tito was the fight against Blocker. Had read about him in magazines, but this was the first time. Scary the power and handspeed he exhibited. Blocker was beaten up in a scary way. A legend was introduced to the world. I never missed another Trinidad fight after that one lol.

Tito at 147 - 154 it was unbeatable.160 for me he did so good just 3 losses 2 of them 160 pounds Hopkins and Wright . Roy Jones Jr . It was 175 pounds in cruiserweight !!!

you are the champion....you are going to defend your championship. your bread and butter, your pride, your title of being the best. you are scheduled to fight a young hungry up and coming undefeated fighter who has knocked out 16 of his 19 opponents. and you watched no tape? you don't do your homework? +Breal Gee blocker wasn't garbage... he was an awkward and difficult fighter because of his height and reach in the welter class... and he beat marlon starling for his wbc belt... if you guys think that was comparable to fighting a girlfriend... i suggest you get in the ring with either one of them... blocker got clocked at the end of the first and never really got his equilibrium back... he wasn't a great fighter... but he was definitely a good one... his main problem was his chin... especially at the end of his career...

Agree with that. Blocker was a decent boxer, he'd gone 12 with Honeyghan, beat Starling and gave Simon Brown a good fight. Its just Trinidad made him look bad by the way he just blew through him. That's how you take a title from an older experienced champion.
