@@jonathanrichardson7440 have you ever hunted/eaten this animal?
@jonathanrichardson744015 күн бұрын
@@GoodLivingTT868 I have, like 30 years ago . I honestly can't remember what it tasted like . My understanding is that they were scavengers and eat rotting things ( I had a black and white tegu as a pet for years and that thing was a walking trash can , it ate anything . I hunt and fish , so it got a lot of meat scraps. I have no doubt it would feed on a decomposing caucus) . I wouldn't knowingly hunt and eat them now though . More tasty animals out there to target .

how long of a period and how many sites were used to collect this footage? Glad to see there is still some wildlife about. With the amount of poaching out of season and some of our "commercial" hunters out there not sure how long we will see that.

@clintquintal5885 clint, this was 4 traps in the RIP Claro area, 30 day monitoring period. Of course there were more captures, but these are the ones I chose to share

Trinidad Wildlife 868, what are three benefits of the deer in your local forest other than provide game? What is the name of the Deer found in Trinidad ? What is the current status of the deer population in Trinidad and Tobago?
@GoodLivingTT86813 күн бұрын
@medhin05 three benefits of deer 1), nutrient cycling, seed dispersal, and encouraging new growth of flora from grazing. Manama americana or Red-brocket Deer are the names our deer go by. I am uncertain about the population status but I feel you gonna share with me some info?
