No I agree, there dhould if been more gold. Just from the looks it seems like your wet ashing wasnt complete because it looked like undigested chips still remained. Memory sells for $20 to $25 per pound USD, 4Kilo is 8.8 pounds just on average yields 4 grams should have been expected at least, thats my opinion from my average yields

Great video. Your gold yield is quite low. Some where in your process you are losing gold. For 1kg of RAM i have cut the finger strips and have achieved 0.72g from just them. I have yet to process the ic chips. For 4kg I would get (0.72 × 4) 2.88g. You got 2.54g from 4kg of ram ic chips and finger strips. I have seen your videos. Your yields are quite low. Try another gold recovery process on a smaller amount of RAM. You will br surprised.

I have to assume that your acids cost less than dirt. Far too much used for this small amount of material and too low of a yield to justify. Over-all the process is good but not very efficient. I've processed 5kg of chips at a time and used no more than 1L in total (for all acids). Not sure why you're adding such a large amount of H2SO4 after you've finished the wet ashing. I'm guessing to remove any lead? But a few ml is more than enough for the amount of lead that might possibly be in solution. Your yields are definitely lower than I'd expect too. Are you testing your solution after dropping with SMB to make sure no gold is left in it? From what I see here you could drastically reduce your costs by only using enough HNO3 as needed which will avoid the need for urea, minimise H2SO4 to a few ml to remove any dissolved lead and at least 50% less HCl. Even your AR ratio is off. Too many people stick with the 3:1 ratio but honestly 8:1 works great. it just takes longer. But if your acid is incredibly cheap (like under $1 for this run) it's not a big deal. But remember that any $$$ that you DON'T spend is equal to added profit. Being efficient with what you have is just as good, if not better, than running larger batches.

@@OmSoHum7467 NO. Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant for the 5kg of chips I used only 1L of HCl and HNO3 (AR). Around 2L 98% H2SO4 if I wet ash. I try to incinerate whenever possible. The amount of nitric used in this video would cost me more than all the other reagents used and it is VERY hard to come by. I've had to learn to be very efficient to keep my recovery and refining costs down and that also helps my profit.

@@richardoconnor7162 You would be correct.. Acids cost FAR too much and when we add in the extra government control things get worse. H2SO4 is becoming increasingly more difficult to find and anything over 93% is restricted. I've given up on trying to find any HNO3 but making my own is not so bad, but I still need the H2SO4 for this. Luckily HCL is plentiful as there as a LOT of uses for it. I actually found a new and much cheaper source for it...pool supply places. it's used to help regulate pool water ph and I can now get it by the case for $25 (CDN) for 4 gallons. I used to have to pay $18 per gallon jug. Strangely enough many of the chems I need can be found through pool supply places so as long as pools are still legal I suspect I should still be able to source most of what I need.
