"lesser known", i'm not sure... I'm french (half from "everywhere in France" ascend, and the other half from "everywhere in Europe" ascend), not gipsy, but among other things, my mother loved folk songs and that is a song I knew from my childhood. this is a classic, no ? is it a song sung in the "times of gypsies" (Kusturica, 1988), maybe ?
