@@OnBoardHD Sí, lo recuerdo muy bien, fue el primer vídeo de largo radio de tu canal (Madrid - Dallas). Las cosas en Ft. Lauderdale están bien de momento pero los cruceros no están como antes. Afortunadamente mañana me toca estrenar el año viajando. Será un vuelo corto (2 hrs) pero espero que vengan otros más largos (como Europa). Saludos.

Great video! I was due to fly DUB-JFK / EWR-DUB during the Summer of 2020, but that never happened. Maybe I’ll get again some time. It’s been a while since I’ve flown on Aer Lingus, but the cabin looks nice with the blue lighting on the aisle. The 125 year old A320 made be laugh!! Happy New Year to you! ✈️

I can tell that this was an early takeoff because I go to Manchester Airport regularly and the runway visitor park at 7:02. Planes don't normally take off till after that place.

It was not an early takeoff. You proably were taking off from runway 23L, which is the usual runway for takeoff in Manchester, not from runway 23R as in this video. Runway 23L starts a few hundred meters after 23R. Cheers!

Un vuelo corto, dentro de Ecuador el tiempo de vuelo a cualquier destino es de 30' a 40', excepto a las Islas Galápagos que dura como 1h45min; en el minuto 3:15 dice vuelo inicial del A320 2008, hasta el 2020 no son 125 años !!! Jejeje el avión se ve muy nuevo para esa edad jejejeje Minuto 14:57 todos los A320 tienen ese típico ruido como de seguros eléctricos (asumo que lo son) tanto antes de ingresar a la pista de despegue como al estar en punto de desembarque. Un buen inicio de año, cuídate mucho por favor!!! Seguiremos esperando tus geniales videos, un gran abrazo.

Me alegra que te haya gustado este Trip Report! :) Es un error de escritura jeje Quise decir 12'5, no 125 :P Ese ruido al que haces referencia no es ningún seguro ni es nada eléctrico. Es la PTU (Power Transfer Unit) cuya función es transmitir energía hidráulica de un sistema a otro. Momentos típicos en los que ocurre son al encender el segundo motor y al rodar con un sólo motor encendido, pues el sistema hidráulico asociado al motor apagado no tiene energía y la PTU se encarga de transferírsela desde el el sistema del motor encendido. I'm from London and had been to Scotland and Wales. When I went to Ireland for the first time in 2000 it was a big slap across the face seeing how different everything was. At Dublin Airport, all Aer Lingus or Ryanair planes, no British Airways or Easyjet. I go outside and the car number plates were nothing like the UK"s. Using kilometres on the roads not miles. The amber light didn't illuminate before green on traffic lights, and an amber man on pedestrian crossings. Post boxes are green not red and no Royal Mail. No BT phone boxes. I turn on a television to find Irish channels I never heard of and apparently their TV licence fee goes to RTE not the BBC. My wife asked someone for directions to Sainsbury's and she was laughed at and this Dubliner took great pleasure in explaining that we are in a foreign country so there's no Sainsbury's, Asda or Morrisson's here. We find ourselves in a supermarket called Dunnes and when I looked at bread, milk, or tea bags there was nothing from the UK only Irish brands I never heard of, and as for Wall's or Richmond sausages? Forget it! Their sausages are the Irish brands which are Denny or Galtee. I go to buy a lottery ticket to find they had a different lottery and the retailer told me if I want a ticket for the British lottery the nearest shop is in Newry in Northern Ireland and she was grinning like a Cheshire cat the pretentious witch.

En 8:15 dices que el crucero dura solo unos 5 minutos. Sabes tú si la velocidad y la altitud del avión son similares a las de un vuelo "normal" o son sensiblemente menores por ser un vuelo tan corto ?? Que tengas un Feliz 2021 y sigas disfrutando con tus viajes y nosotros con tus videos , y ojalá sea ya todo normal. Yo para el próximo 2021 no sé si me haría un viaje Bruselas-Amsterdam , o un Viena-Budapest , no conozco ninguna de las 4 ciudades, o bien algún viaje por España que falta hace ayudar en nuestra ecomomía

La altitud es desde luego menor que un vuelo más largo. La altitud de crucero de un vuelo se calcula antes del mismo de modo que sea la óptima para el consumo de combustible global del vuelo. La velocidad será también menor al ser la altitud menor. (No es que siempre sea así, pero habitualmente a menor altitud, menor velocidad, por cuestiones de consumo de combustible, además de que a menor altitud mayor resistencia del aire). Te deseo buena suerte en esos viajes! Ojalá podamos llevar a cabo nuestros planes en 2021! :)

El vuelo Manchester-Dublin de hoy mismo ha estado unos 6 o 7 minutos a una altura máxima de 20000 pies y 380 nudos (700 km/h) www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ei203#26771c41 Un vuelo por ejemplo Madrid-Dublin tambien AerLingus de hoy mismo veo que ha estado casi 1:30h a 36000 pies y a una velocidad de 400-420 nudos www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ei593#2677164c Feliz Año Nuevo que ya no me acuerdo si escribí el año pasado o este mismo año : )

The mayority of the flights that you see on the channel are connecting flights. For example, I didn't stay in Dublin, but departed just 2 hours after landing.

Happy new year, mate! :)) Those runways that you are talking about are correct. However, it has been built a new runway in Dublin (ready to use, but not using yet due to the low demand due to COVID). This new runway is parallel to the original 28-10. This one is now 28L-10R and the new one is 28R-10L. One will be used for takeoffs and the other one for landings. In case of strong crosswinds for those runways, the 34-16 is still there, basically in between them. The end of those 10 planes queues waiting for takeoff in Dublin is finally here! :)

Hola Lucas! Lo primero Feliz año nuevo a ti y al canal, con la esperanza de que este 2021 nos traiga al menos tan buenos reports como has hecho en este complicado 2020. Muy chulo el vídeo, un vuelo muy cortito. Es similiar a la ruta BCN-PMI por ejemplo? Me pregunto si es rentable para las aerolineas mover un avión de ese tamaño para esa ocupación/trayecto. En lugar de usar aviones más pequeños tipo CRJ, Embraer... Los A340 siguen en uso o están todos en tierra? Me pregunto que pasará con ellos, si se usarán como cargueros o si serán vendidos a otras aerolíneas, desguazados... Un saludo Lucas!

Muchas gracias! Un placer que te haya gustado tanto! Esperemos que en 2021 pueda llevar a cabo algunos de los planes que tengo! Sería fantástico! :) El tema que planteas es interesante. Si las aerolíneas los usan es obvio que les sale rentable, pues de otra manera no lo harían. Vueling por ejemplo usa ruta para vuelos en conexión también, por lo que, aunque quizás la parte de BCN-PMI no fuese rentable, al conectar con otro vuelo sí que sea rentable. Ten en cuenta que aunque los billetes en esas rutas sean baratos, al final siempre se acaba pagando más para elegir asiento, llevar maleta priority boarding... Si el avión lleva una buena ocupación de manera sostenida en el tiempo, la ruta es rentable. De hecho... mira Vueling, que en verano lleva a operar hasta 10-11 frecuencias directas al día entre Mallorca y Barcelona :) Los A340 están, en su mayoría, en tierra. Retirados. Serán probablemente desguazados. Saludos

I'm not sure if that will happen again... I guess Aer Lingus will try to retire all the B757 and fly those routes with A321neoLR. Hopefully not, but it's quite probable... =/

All the 757s are gone now and have been replaced by the A321LRs, they will operate the A330-200 to Minneapolis when they return back to their normal schedule which will hopefully be this year, the 757s have been gone for a couple of months now

Yes thank you for the Dublin l. I was in DHL Express again by the airport. I saw an Ethiopian B777 depart to Washington and now he is going from Washington to Addis Ababba. That's the only plane I saw because I was sleeping🤫😴 That Ryanair that was heading out to Tenerife. I saw it earlier coming back out to Dublin. I love Dublin So much.
