I flew aeromexico 2 weeks ago from Mex to CUN on the 737 MAX8 in Business Class ! Never again ! It turned out that the plane was configured with only an economy class. No business class at all! So it was a 3-3 layout configuration. They just blocked the central seat to pretend that it was Business. No explainations and apologies from the crew at all ! No welcome drink. They turned off the lights after the safety demo and turned they back on after our landing in Cancun. So for a departure at 9:30 pm we did the all the flight in a dark cabin. The crew did the service in the dark ( if we can call this a service ). We could barely see them and they were really rude. You've been very lucky. I will never fly them again.

You sure it was a MAX? Maybe you traveled in an Aeromexico Contigo 737-800?

That Boeing 737-max must have been very heavy because it took a long time to reach V1 and rotate. almost the whole runway 05 Right. I guess.

I'm flying CUN-MEX on the 787 in Business class. It'll be weird to not have a meal while in a lie flat seat 😂

I also flew CUN-MEX in a 787-9 on my return flight...it was indeed a bit weird, but the seat was awesome anyway!😁

@@flywithdominik Ok, I just wanted to know if your schedule was changed at all or your plane. My flight was supposed to be a 787-9 leaving at 4:15pm, but now it's a -8 leaving at 3:10 pm. Or did it never change after you booked.

@@inflightreports it was fortunately not changed. I booked it only 1 week ahead of the flight to be more or less "safe", but I was afraid of an aircraft change as well...

that lounge food has always been bad, once for an international flight the re was just vegetable soup , nothing else, same day at domestic lounge there was only salads made only from lettuce,no tomatoes no nothing d that was before covid. i hope you got an upgrade as even if it is the max catering is the same as in coach, they just but snacks on a basket to look nice, in coach they hand you over one of those snacks

Nice trip report, but that plane is not a 737-800 MAX, it is only in 737-800

Apparently, it is a Boeing 737 MAX 8. Aeromexico is just not using the name "MAX" anywhere. Neither on the safety card, nor in the announcements.

@@flywithdominik I have just come back from the same flight. On the card there was MAX on it, and even said it on the safety demonstration. They actually didn’t hide the name anywhere.

I took a flight from Mexico City to Monterrey in Aeroméxico’s Boeing 737 Max 8 and in the safety video o safety card it appeared Boeing 737 MAX 8.
