Hey everyone and thank you for joining me this week on this trip to Paris on AeroMexico’s flagship!
To be honest, this video won’t do this company any justice that it deserves, as I was very tired,the flight a red eye one and fully booked.. So it was hard to film. But I’ll return again for sure!
AeroMexico is one of my favorite airlines and I consider them one of the best to cross the pond.
Full service, great IFE and lovely Mexican hospitality.

Great video as usual! I flew AM on both their 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft to and from Buenos Aires last week. I was also very impressed with their service. Definitely a lot better than one would expect!

Aeromexico is an underrated airline. You get a better service on flights from USA to MEX on Aeromexico rather than any US Airline. And their service on transatlantic flights is great for the price

That is true, I recently flew with them from SFO to MEX and while I didn’t expect any service I was surprised with a hot snack and open bar.. Loved it!

In 1969, I flew this route on Aeronaves de Mexico. It was a DC-8, not sure if it was a -52 or a -63. My dad worked for the airlines and we got space A. The flight came from MEX-MIA where we boarded in Miami. Then on to Madrid, and then into Paris Le Bourget. Aeronaves de Mexico was a good airline then, as far as a 12 year old could tell! I remember a Mexican band broke out guitars and had a great sing along after dinner was taken up on MIA-MAD leg. Grear video great airline!

And you know the best part? In their business class cabin they have a small bar with a coffee machine that passengers can use to make themselves a coffee. So random but great! I think they are the only ones. Ramadan Kareem!

Thanks Maurice, it’s steadily growing. regarding the logo, I think it represents an Aztec eagle knight. And yes, I flew on the beautiful plane but was not able to enjoy the livery as I flew from Amsterdam to Mexico which is a full night flight. But that was 6 years ago ! CDG airport is nice, I don’t mind flying there. Very well organized but massive. I like France though so whenever I stop I make sure to do some groceries at the airport supermarket and come back home full of stuff. I’m waiting eagerly for your flight on SQ! See you around 👋

A brand new international Airport was built just 30 minutes north of Mexico city but due to lack of connectivity from the new to old airport and airlines refusing to move to the new installation the new Airport has remained unused with just very few flights operating daily.

The new airport was a whim of stubbornness of the idiotic president we have. it cost many millions of dollars to cancel an airport that was already being built, with an advance of 33%, to build this new airport that everybody says is like a bus station, is far away, and is not properly connected. No wonder nobody wants to use it.. Horrible waste of money, and it did not solve the need for a new airport for Mexico City.

I heard the busiest airport in Latin America is São Paulo-Guarulhos followed by Bogota El Dorado, and not sure about the domestic longest flight as non stop flights from Paris to Tahiti are also considered domestic and it takes 16+ hours.

Hey there, thanks for the info! Nope, MEX is busier then GRU, have a look online. They’re close though. And Air Tahiti sometimes flew directly from Tahiti to Paris during early Covid but now it makes stops. It was last operated in That leaves Paris-Saint Denis as the longest non stop domestic flight.

To answer your question about the airplane silhouette that is a Boeing 727 which coincidentally I flew when I took Mexicana Airlines from LAX to Mazatlan in the 90’s. I had a great flight! And those pilots were skilled at landing! Smooth as silk!

I just use the simple iPhone 13 Pro Max. I have lots of fancy equipment and I noticed that the phone was just best for me. No gear at all! And yes, AeroMexico is great for trans Atlantic travel, always loved it! Thanks for writing!

I have been flying Aero Mexico within Mexico several times. It was OK. My last experience CDMX to Amsterdam was horrible. Entering the plane in Mexico the AC was not working. I had to ask the Stewardes what happend. The electricity connection to the ground was not working. As there where also sucurity issues, we had to way at the terminal for 2 hours (with no AC). The flight afterwards was OK. BUT I have never been on a long haul flight with so little legroom! For me definately the last long haul with Aero Mexico.

I have a question to all the aviation experts: how do you read your itinerary? I’m talking about the times listed For example: the flight departs at 7pm and arrives at 9pm - does it mean it pushes back from the gate at 7pm or takes off from the runway at 7pm? How about the arrival time? Does it land at 9pm or arrives at the gate at 9pm?? 🤔

For me I would say 7pm is the time it pushes back (in most cases the plane would have not been taking off at 7pm there are occasions that it does during a late flight for exmaple i was on a Emirates flight we pushed back 10m ahead of scheduled departure time as eevryone was onboard and takeoff happened 2m after our scheduled departure time) And for landing same thing i think 9pm is when the aircraft is expected to be landing

Good question! It all depends. It varies airline per airline. It’s mostly departure time from the gate. For others it’s take off time. But I consider it an on time departure if we’re pushing back at that time.

Great Video, it is only one complaint I have about videos like this, is that they spend too much footage on one thing, like going back and forth on the enterntainment screen, which is unnecessary because we hardly see what is going on in the first place, and too much time showing the plane in the air. We want to see, the type of food, which we got an excellent picture, and the leg room and comfort of the seats, that most of these videos do not spend enough time or have good footage. Food and comfort and service or the main things viewer want to know, I think

Actually the great Boeing 787 Dreamliner from aeromexico is the susbstitute of the Boeing 777. This one used to fly Mexico-Paris. but the airliner changed the plane. The Boeing 777 is my favourite jet. But the new one 787 is a little better. Is the competitiion of the Airbus350. Which one do you prefer ? I love Boeing. sorry. !
