I do appreciate those old -900s. Especially no winglets, real time warp! It's cool the cabin/insulation makes it sound much louder than the newer -900ERs, nice treat once in awhile. Good stuff! Just wish those phone/tablet holders will make it to the rest of the fleet ASAP!

Performance wise, I HATE flying the straight wing -900s. Alaska always sends them on these mid-con flights. As pilots, LOL, we hate them.

@@aviationgio Performance... That's the big kicker. A normal landing speed in a 900ER is around 145 kts (weight dependent), in the straight wing 900, you're potentially around 160 kts, with flaps 30 degrees. In gusty conditions, we must increase the landing speed... as such, we might meet our flap limit and have to land with flaps 15 to avoid "blow back"...
