The PTU has nothing to do with engine starting, What it does do is pressurises the green hydraulic system, normally by driven engine one until engine one is started using the yellow hyraulic system driven by engine 2. On the A320 family and most jet airliners, engines are started with bleed air, either from the APU, a running engine, or a ground start unit.

The "complimentary" snack is just pointless and embarrassing. They need to scrap it and offer a proper BOB like they did with the M&S menus! They even have pre-order now too. So taking up space in the galley for a silly waste of time snack, is just stupidity in my opinion.

I think it's nice to have the snack as it makes the experience ever so slightly less cheap, however I do really miss the variety with the M&S menus! In an ideal world, they'd hand out something like a sandwich on a flight like this for free but that's almost unheard of in Europe these days, where legacy carriers all follow the likes of low-costs....

I disagree a free snack is welcome however I wish they would offer a complimentary bar service even if it was just soft drinks. Like they have at city airport flights.
