✈Trip report | Dan Air A320 | First flight on Romanias newest airline | Bucharest - London Gatwick ✈

Dan air? So you may have heard of them before, especially if you are British, Dan air was formerly a British airlines that operated from the 1950's to the 1990s before being sold to British airways for just £1.
Now here we are in 2023. The name Dan air is reborn again. The airline itself is not actually brand new, the airline was actually started operations back in 2018, under the name Just US Air, operating charter and wet-lease flights for other airlines, however in 2023 they rebranded as Dan air and decided to operate their own scheduled flights, flying to various European routes such as London, Munich, Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona and various others. Operations started on the 15th June, I was on the first flight into London Gatwick.
The airline itself, I am not too sure if they are classed as a low cost or a full service airline, my ticket cost just 49euros, however this ticket included very generous perks

- X2 23kg checked in bags
- Drinks and snacks.
there are not many airlines around in Europe that offer these options for free, i was very impressed.
Now there was a change in the schedule, my flight was originally direct from OTP to LGW however due to some operational reasons, the flight would make a stop into Brasov airport, this is supposedly only until the 30th of June, tho I wasn't too bothered as its an extra take off and landing and a new airport for me.
On the day of the flight, i was expecting there to be some sort of launch event either at the check in or the boarding gate, however there was nothing which is unfortunate, the publicity would have been good.
Now onto the flight, the aircraft was parked on a remote stand in OTP, only 9 passengers were on my flight, i hope the loads pick up as the airline offers a lot. crew were fantastic I cannot fault them. even on the short hop between Bucharest and Brasov they offered drinks, on the longer flight from Brasov to London Gatwick a snack was offered.
It was a really great experience flying on this brand new airline. I wish them all the success in future and I hope that they can continue to grow and prosper in the future.

I flew with them, it was a nice flight but they moved all flights to another airport.
