Glad to see another of your videos! Great job! I flew Saudia last week from BCN to JED and then to BKK and I was really impressed by their level of service; the attention to detail and the crew interaction with the passengers was well above my expectations. Great service, great crew and very comfortable seat, I manage to sleep some hours on both flights. JED new terminal is a great airport, but it still needs some more openings to make it a true gate to KSA.

0:35 Retro Dubai vibes are relatable. Have lived in Dubai since 2000. That building has an elevator. Hardly used by people these days. Also idk if you have LoungeKey or not, the Ahlan lounge is 10x better than the marhaba lounge at T1. :) 18:20 The bridge crossing reminiscent of Schiphol, especially when coming in from Polderbaan.

Thanks for sharing the memory Sahil! I do have access to the Ahlan lounge but I’ve never been, I’ll consider it! Dubai is great to be based at as, like you mentioned, you can get practically everywhere and the standards are very high. While you might find some good prices, it’s far from the cheapest prices in the world. The average income in the UAE is very high so the flights are equally leveled to that. Thanks for the comment Murtuza!

@TheLayoverAviation2 жыл бұрын
Emirates invested over $100 million in renovating the B777L’s and they have the latest (and in my opinion best) Business Class seats. It’s a great plane, and despite being from 2007 and beyond they’re great when we’ll maintained, much better then other planes out there! Many A320’s, B737’s and more date from the 90’s and before. I don’t know if you’ve had the chance to visit Dubai enough, but an incredible investment is made in making things green. To such an extend that they have the goal by 2040 for the city to be around 80% green (have a look online). It’s our out of the surrounding countries the greenest, trust me!
@semsem40352 жыл бұрын
@@TheLayoverAviation I've been living there for 10 years. I agree with you that they are trying to make it as green as possible eventhough it's highly costly and cumbersome, and yes it's greener than other neighboring cities in other countries. But what really bothers me is always showing the best parts of the city (the greenery, the highest towers, the most luxurious places) so that others will think Dubai is "the best place to live on earth" as it's claimed in the fanciest areas of the city itself. Dubai has so much ugliness and so much sands as well. Anyway, thanks for your nice reply and I'm a big fan of your aviation content. Best regards
