I flew from Zurich to Malé onboard the A330-300 of Edelweiss.
It's a solid product and I enjoyed my stay on board, although there are some things Edelweiss could improve.

Holy shit this plane is full! Look at the slow take off

A330-300 use the CFM Intl CFM56-5C4/1 engines which in terms of thrust performance, they are not especially powerful. Total thrust of the 4 engines rated at aprox 140,000 lbs which is just mediocre for such a large aircraft. Airbus had to redesign the wings by basically making them bigger to compensate for the lack of power and to produce more lift. That explains the longer take off distance and slow climb rate compared to other more powerful aircraft. It's a good aircraft but just not the most powerful.

The flight looks nice. Maldives is maybe the best place in the world to have incredible approaching view, but sadly maybe due to the weather at the time you flown, you didn't capture it. But still, the trip report is really great 👍

Naja Edelweiss Cabin ist wirklich nicht der Hit. Verglichen mit Qatar oder Emirates, die ich in der letzten Zeit testen durfte ist es ein bisschen schwach. Dennoch war es ein sehr angenehmer Flug ;)
